All-In Pricing Now Available on Apartments.com Listings Across U.S. and Canada

Transparent pricing is now available for all listings on Apartments.com, allowing properties across the United States and Canada to display total monthly rental costs on their property listings and across search results on Apartments.com.

With this update, properties can choose to display their total monthly pricing inclusive of required recurring fees, giving renters a more complete understanding of their monthly costs.

The option to display all-in pricing was initially available in markets with legal requirements around displaying the total price. Starting today, this functionality is available regardless of location.

The change aligns with renters’ expectations. Eighty-five percent of renters say they prefer to see the total price advertised, according to the latest Apartments.com renter survey conducted in December 2025.

“Price consistently emerges as renters’ top priority,” said Stuart Richens, vice president of product for Apartments.com. “Transparent, all-in pricing helps renters make informed decisions, improves lead quality, and creates a better experience for both renters and multifamily operators.”

Several states, including Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, and Virginia, have enacted legislation requiring multifamily owners and operators to display total pricing when advertising their units.

In addition to supporting total pricing on its listings, Apartments.com also offers renters an interactive Cost Calculator tool that lets prospects calculate their monthly and one-time expenses based on lease term length, move-in date, and situational fees, such as pet rent and parking fees.
