Conroe is located in Montgomery County just north of Houston. Since Interstate 45 travels through Conroe and leads into Houston’s business district, residents prefer living in this suburban neighborhood and commuting to work.
It’s no secret that the cost of living in Conroe is lower than Houston. The city is attractive to many renters because of the reasonable commute times, and it’s only a seven-mile drive to Lake Conroe, a popular outdoor recreational area.
There’s a lot going on in the city – you just have to know where to look. Locals enjoy exploring the Sam Houston National Forest, which covers 163,000 acres of land and is the perfect place for camping or a scenic hike. After a lovely dinner at Red Brick Tavern, locals look forward to a musical at the Crighton Theatre on North Main Street. The Heritage Museum of Montgomery County is a great place to go and learn about the city’s evolution through the decades – and it is right next to Candy Cane Park.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Fountains of Conroe
Dianna was such great help in deciding to move to this complex. She knew all the answers! Meagan and Anita was there on the computer. All is extremely clean, atmosphere is fantastic. We can’t wait to move this weekend! Already feels like home! Technical questions were answered immediately.
I have lived here since October 2013 and have asked on more than one on occasion for a new washer in my unit. The washer inside my unit is old and disgusting. I leave the lid open all day every day with the exception of when the washer is in use. I use heavy duty Arm and Hammer detergent PLUS BORAX powder every time I wash a load. I spray Tilex Bleach spray once to twice a week inside the washer. This MILDEW crap comes out of the washer from inside! It’s DISGUSTING. This smelly black mildew has ruined countless pieces of clothing since I have lived here. I have asked on multiple occasions for a new washer. Instead I was told that it was my fault that I had mildew & I needed to leave the washer open. I have lived in Texas for all but 4 of my 32 years and never had to deal with mildew like this growing inside a washing machine! Maybe if the windows were properly insulated or the apartment mgmt company gave units a little refresh remodel given they’re a decade old, you’d not have dry rot and blame your residents I haven’t even mentioned the main reason for moving. After recording DOZENS of recordings of my horrific neighbors upstairs, and calling the courtesy officer and the police, mgmt has done nothing to cite the people living above me. They have RUINED my sons ability to sleep at night - he cries when we come home because he is so tired and falls asleep weekly - he’s in KINDERGARTEN! Anyone that’s ever been in my apartment is STUNNED at how excessively loud the upstairs neighbors are. It has affected my job and personal life tremendously. I can hear my dishes rattling DAILY in the cabinets because they allow their child to run around like a heathen, I can the mother SCREAMING and CURSING at him DAILY, I can hear the parents argue. My track lighting shakes and I’ve had photos fall off the wall and break. It sounds like dropping bowling balls on the floor and thundering every night. Every time I have a business trip and return home, I pray they are gone. They are also neglectful of the property - they have dropped trash outside and their son will throw food off the balcony as Ive found chicken nuggets on my porch. I never even had pests inside my apartment until they moved in almost 2 yrs ago. This behavior is a LEASE VIOLATION when there is ZERO respect or courtesy for the neighbors or property. No one should have to listen to the level of noise I’ve had to endure!
I haven’t even moved in my apartment here yet and I’m super excited. I’ve come along away and to know that Johnne’ made my visit and application process worth it, makes me even more eager to move in. She is a very nice, sweet and hard working woman. She will go above and beyond to make sure you get what you ask for and also put your mind at ease. No pressure and complete honesty. I look forward to moving and calling this my new home. Thanks Johnne’ you rock??
This is a nice place to live. The staff is great, and the maintenance people are on top of everything; my last work order was done on the same day it was placed! When it comes to noise, and rude neighbors playing loud music late at night, I have no problem (it's hard to find people who respect that nowadays). Improvements for the apartment complex are constantly taking place, most recently: windows, doors, parking lot and gym. The price is really good compared to other apartments in the area. My lease ends in a few months, but my wife and I are seriously considering staying for another year. Ask for Johnne at the main office, she is awesome!
This apartment community is a fairly new one. It's decently managed and nicely maintained. It's located on the bustling and growing west side of Conroe. There are two major grocery stores within walking distance along with a 24 hour Emergency Room Center, restaurants and boutiques. The property is gated, has a nice sized pool, fitness center, clubhouse and dog park. The rent is expensive, with a 1 bedroom/1.5 bathroom going for $975/month before adding water, utilities and pet rent. The rent price includes valet trash service(which is $25.00/month and not optional). You are also given a bill each month which lists your rent, water usage fee, pet rent, and a $4.35 fee for just receiving the bill called the OneBill Resident Fee. I'm unsure as to why they would charge you to get the bill, but apparently they can do so. Leases are for a year and lock in your rental price. While you can rent month to month, your rent will jump up to close to $1,200.00 a month for the same apartment. The last time I searched rental prices, they were the highest priced property in Conroe. There are some negatives to mention. The walls are thin and you can hear quite a bit going on around and above you such as people talking, dogs barking and neighbors with heavy feet stomping around above your head. Maintenance is usually pretty quick to respond to issues. The only pest problem that we have had so far is ants, which seem pretty hard to get rid of (maybe due to the dry summer weather). Overall, The Fountains of Conroe is a decent place to live on the better and "newer" side of town if you are willing to pay the price for it.
It is a great place to live and play we love everything about this place
