Fairfield Metro at Mineola

This place has gone so steadily downhill since Fairfield bought it from Mill Creek. No maintenance or upkeep. Constant resident rules violations with zero enforcement. Gym and equipment completely ignored and falling into disrepair. And they sell this place as a non smoking building, it is not. Countless residents smoke cigarettes and marijuana in their apartments. The entire building reeks of weed 24/7. Hallways, elevators, courtyards, garages. And it seeps into the apartments as well even with windows and doors closed. Also there is now a recent bug infestation as silverfish and little bugs have begun appearing all over the apartment. There is ZERO property manager presence. I honestly feel bad for the poor concierges who try to be helpful but are completely hung out to dry by Fairfield management and left to fend for themselves and handle every issue. Don't let the location and nice lobby fool you, this place is a disgrace for how much it costs. Stay away.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! If we could give negative stars, we would. We entered our lease beginning October 1st of 2022 at Fairfield Metro Mineola. After our 2nd week in, we began noticing silverfish bugs crawling throughout the apartment. We logged a service request ticket & eventually the building had an exterminator come and “treat” the apartment and we thought all was good. However, eight months later we are STILL encountering silverfish bugs throughout every room in the apartment and the situation continues to get worse. Over the past eight months we have seen dozens upon dozens of living/dead bugs in our: • Bedroom & closet walls/ceilings • Bathtub & bathroom floor/walls • Kitchen floors/walls • Loft floors/walls • Living room floors/walls/ceilings • Crawling in/on our furniture We see multiple silverfish daily, however the Fairfield staff regularly call us liars. In fact, the building concierge staff recently stated in an email to us that “There is no bug infestation, there is a fear of bugs”. We have been clearly communicating this issue to Fairfield for 8 months through photos. We also tried to work with Fairfield by discussing transferring into a new unit. However, Fairfield refused unless we agreed to pay thousands in transfer fees or extend our current least by another 12 months. Fairfield has a contract with Regal Exterminators who only comes to the building the last Tuesday of every month (no sooner if requested). We have had someone from Regal come and spray our apartment every month and the infestation continues. Additionally, the exterminator from Regal has been hesitant to admit that there is a problem. After showing him physical evidence, he insinuated we were liars and had brought the bugs from somewhere else! We have been unable to reach anyone high up at Fairfield to discuss this issue, we are always told everything must go through the Concierge, who are no help. When we tried to discuss breaking our lease, it was treated as a regular lease break request where we could only leave if we paid a fee. Fairfield as a company is disgusting & a disgrace for how they treat their tenants. They do not care about your well-being and will blatantly call you a liar because they do not want to admit there is a problem in their “perfect building”. I would not recommend living in this building even to my worst enemy. Please learn from our mistakes, DO NOT move here!

Signing a lease here has made our life a living horror story. This is not luxury or even close. The manager or man in charge has a terrible attitude and nobody addresses any problems. Fire alarms will go off in the middle of the night with no explanation. Walls are not soundproof and the building is overall very poorly constructed. We were looking forward to having a pool but it is absolutely tiny and the water looks filthy and unsanitary. Hallways smell like garbage and the only solution management has is to spray perfume to cover it up. Do not be fooled by the seemingly clean lobby when you come see the place or the leasing office. Once you move in any communication about maintenance or asking for help will be ignored. This is not a family friendly place at all as there are several residents who smoke marijuana and leave a lingering smell and I would advise anyone with kids to stay far away from here. There is no way to get out of your lease early and living here for almost another year feels like a jail sentence.

What looked like a great building has turned out to be a very poor experience. Leasing office is extremely unhelpful with questions. I had a large delivery come in and couldn't get any help from property staff. Had multiple things in the apartment break within 2 months of living there (washer dryer/windows/AC). Will be leaving as soon as possible.

I moved here in October. I absolutely love my apartment. It is silent and clean. If anything needs to be fixed it is quickly done. I enjoy the amenities and the block is quiet and good for walking my dog. I’m very happy I decided to rent here!

This is a beautiful luxury property with a very professional and attentive staff. From my first meeting with Brittany the awesome leasing agent who was there guiding me through the entire process to the attentiveness of the concierges and maintenance crew, my move has been a great experience. The amenities are wonderful, with good Covid policies enabling me to enjoy them while feeling safe. The buildings are close enough to town to enjoy all the conveniences and walkability of the town yet a couple blocks further away, on a quiet street.

From the greeting to the fragrant aromas this complex was the most welcoming one in the neighborhood. To top it off the upbeat and positive personality of my leasing consultant, Brittany, made this transition very seamless. Her communication and response time is unparalleled. Besides the wonderful staff and the clean environment, community has top of the line amenities which I frequent often. I highly recommend this property!

We used to live here when Modera Metro Mineola was here and then got taken over by Fairfield in fall 2020. The staff changed, and the service experience has been terrible. They are unresponsive and disengaged. We broke our lease early, and 2.5 months later, corporate offices have no notice we ended our lease and won't release the security deposit. The people at the building office in Mineola said they cannot help us as the lease is ended, and referred us back to corporate. We are stuck in this loop with no one willing to actually help. This was not the case when it used to be Modera for any issues. The property is nice, as are the apartments. Be wary of the service though, which, unfortunately in these situations, can matter just as much as where you're living.

Brittany was so helpful in viewing and selecting my unit, all done remotely. She went above and beyond to make the experience a positive one. She has been so pleasant and friendly to speak to and has been very helpful getting my services all set up and ready to go. Thank you!!

Although the building may be beautiful and new, the lack of responsiveness from management ruins it. They don’t care to respond to their residents when there is an issue, but will fine you right away for a late payment. People at all levels of management could care less about your quality of life. Be prepared to wear noise canceling headphones and still hear your neighbors at all hours of the day and night. The ceilings are paper thin that constant upstairs noise will have you questioning your sanity. For the amount we pay in rent I would expect better service. Don’t be fooled by the glamour, they could care less about you.

You could rent a full sized house for a one bed room apartment. Amenities have been closed/difficult to access for months. You will hear everything your upstairs neighbor is doing and it will drive you insane. Management does little to help with various noise complaints and doesn’t seem to care, as long as they get your money. They are more than happy to fine you for one late payment. They seem to allow anyone and everyone to enter into a lease agreement. The pool is extremely small for the number of units. People smoke around the building and do not abide by mask rules. You will hear your neighbors dog barking at all hours. Their seems to have been a lack of attention to detail in sound insulation of the building. Pieces of the balcony have been peeling off with wind. Food delivery is often a nightmare, with people leaving your food by the lobby or calling you to come down, because apparently the intercoms system Is too complex. Management changed out of nowhere without any notice whatsoever. Extra parking spaces will cost you.

We Love living here. It is a wonderful supportive community and our house staff is friendly and responsive. Ms Croke is truly wonderful to deal with is full of good ideas and listens intently. She takes responsibility and sees things through. Cannot say enough about Nate and Chris either. Always ready to help make us feel like neighbors. Finally their is our grounds, neat, clean well kept. This for us as empty nesters was a very good fit. I recommend this to folks who want to be in a vital community, and want a first class living arrangement.

Excellent Experience here!

My wife and I came to Modera in an effort to down size, BEST. DECISION. EVER. The apartment is spacious and well appointed, and the maintenance is excellent leaving me worry free. Modera is well positioned here in Mineola and there are plenty of places to eat, shop and gather. We cannot wait for the world to fully reopen so we can once again enjoy all of the benefits of living here.

Place is the worst

Modera Metro Mineola is a fantastic option for convenient L.I. living! Good mix of floor plans to choose from, all with beautiful finishes and you cannot beat the 10-minute walk to / from Mineola Train Station!

Wish that leasing office was as friendly once you rent as they were when you are considering renting. As more people have moved in , the level of cleanliness has declined. The front lobby is very clean.

Great amenities, very convenient to transportation, available staff and spacious apartments

I've recently moved to Modera Metro Mineola and could not feel happier about this move. It's a complete update to the neighboring properties. It seems that the residents coming in are residents trying to find calm, peace and less traffic noise; not just of cars on main streets, but of party-type people with no regard for policies or respect towards their neighbors. The staff and management team make this place feel all the more special.

As the facility is brand new there have been a few start up issues but the staff has been on the ball to correct any problems. I feel that this will be a very good place to live. We are very happy with our apartment.

Excellent rental experience. Clean beautiful and spacious common areas. Roof top is lovely and people are very friendly. Community is a variety of ages. Convenient to train, shopping , dining.

Modera Metro is like no other apartment living situation around here. It is part spa part apartment building. The building is well built and the staff is concerned with your satisfaction. They could not be more helpful. They are motivated and friendly and always willing to help. The area surrounding the building has so much to do and so many restaurant choices. Its so close to mass transit and it is a walkable community. I couldn't be more happy with our decision to sell our home and downsize and rent here.
