Very disappointed and not at all satisfied. Specifically asked for certain amenities I needed and was assured I would have them. Until the day we moved in, nothing was the way we were told it would be. Specially the apartment, we were shown a "sample" apartment but the apartment we got did not look like the sample at all. Not going to continue with everything else, can write a book!! Can't wait to move!!

My experience being at the apartment has been pretty good now just have a few things that have been a issue but we are dealing with it. The noice level has its ups and down but has been ok.

I did not meet my expectations as a new apartment it was clean kitchen cabinets has some dirty liners from previous tenants windows where not that clean some didn’t have screens and can’t be close fully

I like how management is trying to work more with the residents in trying to keep the community safe and how they try do repairs in a timely fashion.

Not bad overall, just sadly they didn’t make sure everything was working properly before my move-in-date. The fridge was missing the rubber around the door and didn’t close. Have reported this incident about 3 days ago now, they said they will solve it today, I’m hoping they actually do.
The place I live in is one of the nicest places I lived in a long time. Neighborhood is nice and quite,clean and great neighbors. I would recommend this neighborhood to my family and friends

I live at Elmwood Village in Elmwood Park NJ. My experience here has been good. Not great but good. It is clean, well maintained and decent living condition. It would be great if there were community activities. If there are activities it need to be committed to the residents. The office staff is friendly and the maintenance crew are very professional and gets the job done. All in all you get what you pay for.

So far it's been an Amazing and very pleasant adventure being able to live in Elmwood village apartment community. It's been 5 great years and I'm liking my community even more.Great location, Remarkable neighborhood. Great areas to enjoy a walk, a morning run, walking your pets, or just simply enjoying a beautiful sunset. I personally really enjoy all the new amenities of the whole apt complex, and wish to spend many more years to come living here. It's just been teuly truly and a honest pleasure.

So far it has been pretty good when I call for maintenance they come pretty fast just would like if they would fix the dog park and the clean up around the area alittle better

When I first moved here, it was always very clean. Now there’s always trash in front of my apartment. It’s the same thing almost every day. Also I don’t feel safe anymore.

The community is a good community. The only thing that bothers me is the rodents and lack of services that the contractors provide when they come out (exterminators). I’m not used to rodents as no one should be so it’s a real issue for my children and myself. They need to take better care of the tenants for the price of the rent. And provide quality services in repairs for what you pay monthly to rent here. Also I feel like each unit should come with at least 1 free parking spot but you have to pay for parking monthly as well.
It’s a really nice area close to many things that is needed for everyday life the schools re great the community is great my family enjoys everyone and everything

The living situation had been pleasant. The upkeep of the exterior could be better. Animals have their way in the garbage and can leave plenty of trash laying around.

Love it! Just wish the bedrooms were a little bigger. Other than is great. We have been in our apartment for two years and we haven’t had any problems with it. The only issue we have are the squirrels because they kept biting on our internet wires. So we kept loosing our internet. However, they just cut down three trees and hopefully that will keep them away.

It’s been decent living here, definitely not the best but to make matters worst is that they started charging a certain “fee” for the upgrades they make around the complex, no one is allowed to disagree to this fee, it’s ridiculous with the amount of rent people pay for poor quality apartments and now this fee too? I’m looking forward to moving next year for sure.

It’s a nice community of welcoming neighbors. I love how my children can go outside and play with no worries. The apartments are nice, I just wish that they would paint the apartments after living here for 3 consecutive years.

I would like to share my five years of experience living there, Important Notice: Please Read Before Considering Rental Safety Concerns: The area poses safety risks, making it unsafe for families and individuals. Instances of drug activity involving young people on street corners are prevalent. Additionally, the entire apartment vicinity emits unpleasant odors during nighttime. Reckless speeding by vehicles within the apartment roads and parking lots necessitates constant vigilance, especially for the safety of children. Despite police efforts, the situation escalated to installing surveillance cameras in the middle of main roads not only for cars but also for drug activities. An unsettling indicator of safety issues is the leasing office locking its doors, even during daylight hours on the main road. This raises legitimate questions about the area's security. Parking Predicament: Parking availability is incredibly challenging; residents often struggle to find a space upon returning from work. Even with a paid reserved parking spot, unauthorized vehicles frequently occupy these spaces after office hours, leading to frustrating inconveniences. Maintenance Issues: Prospective tenants should note that the apartments are aged, and maintenance might not meet expected standards. Online images may not accurately represent the actual condition of the unit. Service requests often encounter significant delays, and pest problems with roaches, mice, and even squirrels are common. If Elmwood Village had the most beautiful warm apartments, (which it does not by a long shot) the most picturesque landscaping, (which it does not by a long shot) it wouldn't matter because there is garbage everywhere. The dumpsters are either broken, filthy, inadequate, not picked up enough- it is disgusting. It's time to take the blinders off.I gave a 2 rating because I think the maintenance service department is doing a great job; prompt, somewhat skilled, patient.
