Dwell at Clear Lake Apartment Homes

active US Coast Guard w extensive research online from out of state about the complex before moving in. Clear false advertisement and very suspicious mostly positive Google Reviews. The pictures are NOT ACCURATE. Grounds and complex less than adequately maintained. Nothing like “Resort living”, very run down. Management changed several times within the few weeks I was dealing with leasing office. Still disputing false advertising on Sanalwood Managments part. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at ALL COSTS!

This place is different than any other apartment I've lived in. Being on Clear Lake, you can go fishing and crabbing right off the pier. I do most of my fishing at night time and I catch some big fish out here! Catfish, red fish, trout...everything. And the dolphins come in during the morning and evening to feed. Love the staff and the apartment, as well. Won't be moving any time soon.

My company leased an apartment here and I loved it. I stayed for 2 months in a furnished apartment, but I wish I could've stayed longer. The vibe of the community is fun and relaxed. I got to fish on the weekends and get to know some of my neighbors. Never met a person that was rude. I'm hoping to come back, thanks Amanda & Levi! Great team in the office!

I moved here 2 yrs ago to be with my boyfriend and absolutely fell in love with the place! The staff here is amazing! Always friendly and eager to help if needed. I have also been blessed by the beautiful views & amenities, but most of all we have had and still do have the best neighbors ever!

My family moved from out of state and fell in love with Dwell at Clear Lake. The pictures on the website match the views and they are beautiful. I love living in the family oriented community and never plan on moving. I highly recommend coming and viewing the place for yourself and I know you will fall in love with it as our family did.

To me this is not a apartment it looks and feels like resort.i was a little scared when Hurrican Harvey cane because I just had moved there but it help me to overcome a lot of my fear. I love living here and whenever I go out of town I miss my apartment a lot and want to come back anxiously.good living. M. Yousaf

This is a beautiful complex and a wonderful community. The management is incredible. The apt manager Amanda and her team are always friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond for the residents. It's a fun and relaxing place to live. There is a large pier with covered swings that are great to sit and watch the boats on Clear Lake. Other residents like to fish and go kayaking I highly recommend this wonderful complex!

Dwell is a great place to live, I have lived here for years. The staff are great people, always caring and taking care of any issues. Yes parking is hard sometimes for guests but not that big of a deal since the residents have their own spots. It is quiet,peaceful , and the water is therapeutic!

Run faster than the wind from this place. I unfortunately live here and it is the complete worse place to live. We have had so many issues with the apartment they placed us in. We are on the second floor and not one floor in any of the rooms are even, the bedrooms are the worse. Furniture has fallen on my smaller children wounding them leaving knots on their head even after I leveled out the furniture that I can but unless you have time to do so on a daily basis its useless because things shift daily. My kids and I have not slept in our beds for months because I am scared the beds will snap in our sleep. The electrical in my unit is so dangerous. All plugs have to be hanging halfway out of socket to turn on. The apartment always smells like sewage. Every time it rains be aware that they painted the sidewalks and stairs with that parking lot/stripe shiny slippery paint. I have had to go to ER due to a fall from this and all my children have fell injuring themselves going down the stairs(pics to prove). I refuse to allow my elderly mom come anywhere near this place. No guest parking so god forbid you have friends or a life. They have towed our personal cars numerous times at $400 a tow. The management team is a joke and terribly unprofessional to say the least. The manager lives and parties hard on site. She is very clicky with her crew and they are fast to past judgement on those who rather not partake in their festivities. I can agree with others this place is for the single and those who like to party A LOT!!! The manager does not do well with customer service at all. I moved in with high hopes of this place but it's been nothing less of awful since move in date. So run please I wish I still could. Any one know of any lawyers???? SMH...RUUUUUN!!!

I love my home. The community is like no other place I've lived. Love the management staff and all they do. You will not find a better place. The view of the water and all the amenities are just huge bonuses

Lived here a year. Website is deceiving. Reviews are all from managers friends. Manager is a joke. Want to find her, go to the pool. Shes always there drunk or high. Want discount on rent, supply her with weed. Want 4 car spaces, while others get one, sleep with her. You learn alot from living here for a year. Dont waste your time and money.

I have been at the Dwell for 6 months now and i have to say this place is awesome! The view is beautiful, the community is friendly, and the staff is beyond amazing. One thing that I usually run into issues with at apartments is the maintenance. I know we have all been there when an issue arises and you have to call for maintenance and then the dread of it never being fixed, or not being fixed properly sets in. You can rest assured that the maintenance at The Dwell is always on point and extremely fast. I can submit a ticket and they will arrive within 30 minutes and have whatever it is I need fixed taken care of in a very timely manner. I would also like to point out, Amanda, the apartment manager whom always makes time for you and always makes sure everything you need is taken care of. She is very friendly and I honestly could not recommend this place more to anyone looking for a new home with PLENTY of wonderful amenities.

Moved in 4 months ago. I am not a dirty person at all, but yet my apartment is infested with tiny roaches. And at least 10 other residents I have spoken to have said the same thing. Management doesn't seem to care. It's gross.

We enjoyed being off the water, but you can't find many "newer" apartment complexes around here with that amenity. This complex is definitely in need of some major upgrades such as electrical and plumbing, but I'm sure they will eventually get to that since it's under new management now. We just didn't feel like dealing with maintenence issues every month, and we thought we could've gotten used to the parking situation, but it just got more and more frustrating over time. The management is super nice, and I'll definitely miss them, but they do have some work ahead of them lol. I have faith that they can fix this place up, it just can't happen fast enough to keep me interested. I think the price is a little steep for what you get as well, but waterfront apartments are hard to get into around here, so I understand why they upcharge, it's business afterall. All in all, I appreciate management working with us to come to a solid agreement, most places would've laughed at us if we wanted to break our lease 6 months early. Thanks again, and goodluck with future renovations!

This place is full of problems. There are apartments cheaper and newer than these with less of a headache. Being waterfront is the only thing Dwell has going for it, but that is no reason to give it 4 stars.

I have lived at Dwell for over a year now and I'm so impressed at the new manager and staff. They care about the residents and take care of every detail. The landscaping is beautiful, the monthly events are awesome, and you feel the sense of community and family at the Dwell. You always have neighbors complain about certain rules and complain about the person enforcing them but I appreciate the rules and safety for my family. I highly recommend Dwell and I plan to be here for a long long time!

I have lived at Dwell for 3 years. The inside of the apartments are very nice. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and nice paint and crown moulding. The inside of the apartment could certainly be considered luxury, but the outside is not. Its clean, its just not nice. Also the "state of the art" gym they mention has one hardly working treadmill and two other bare bones machines. I would not consider this to be a luxury apartment complex at all. What bothers me the most is just how greedy the owners of this complex are. They raise rent every single year, at a rate far more than I have ever seen at any other apartment complex, and I used to live by the beach in one of the highest-rent districts of Southern California! The owner of this place is a greedy pig. Can't wait to move out.

WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! I have been living in this great place for over 2 years now, beautiful apartments, beautiful landscaping and the VIEW IS WONDERFUL!! They have the BEST PIER!! fishing and crabbing whenever you like. Staff are GREAT and PROMPT!! Great management team!! PLUS they have ACTIVITIES ALMOST EVERY MONTH!! THEY SHOW US THE BEST APPRECIATION AS RESIDENTS IN THE DWELL COMMUNITY!! I can recall them having breakfast at the exit gate some mornings for us, orange juice, donuts and lot of other goodies!! LAST Halloween, Dwell had a private CHARTER BOAT take us on a cruise on CLEAR LAKE and good food to show their APPECIATION OF THE RESIDENTS!! I TRULY LOVE THIS PLACE!! NICOLE W.

Living here for 2 months we feel really comfortable and safe. We love this area near the waterfront. We feel really relaxed here. The apartment is well-designed and clean and has enough space. Inside we can find everything we need. We love the pool and the gym! The kitchen in our apartment is very well-equipped, so are the rooms and the bathroom. The surroundings are gorgeous, also all the amenities outside make you feel you are on all-year-holidays. The people who live here are very friendly. We came here from abroad for a limited period of time but we do hope we could come back to Seabrook again. If so, we are sure we will come back to Dwell at Clear Lake.

My family just moved in March 2017 to be closer to my job. I did not expect it to be as great as it has been but the manger Amanda and Kris have wowed us! The property is very well maintained weekly if not daily and kept very beautiful. It feels more like a community here than just a place to stay. We have awesome get together at the club house/pool area where every treats each other with amazing respect. They offer so many neat activities to introduce neighbors to each other and especially for the kids. We have a great dock on the back that we enjoy watching the sun set from and look forward to picking up fishing soon. It feels like we have been on vacation while staying here because of the beautiful view, super nice people in this town and community as well as the sounds of the wind in the palm trees next to our bedroom and living room windows. I also enjoy that we are able to pay our bills on their website conveniently with auto pay so that I don't have to worry about stopping to get a money order or risk being late with a drop box. I mention this because Amanda is not always in the office like most managers, but only because she is face to face walking the property to make sure that everything is in order. I have not found a complaint yet. The one thing we didn't like is that our unit does not have a closet in the living room for our coats but we found a neat way to curb that with storage containers. other than that we are beyond satisfied and look forward to our year here. -- Jerrod & Johlynn

I just moved into the Dwell and everyone is very friendly. The management has been very helpful with getting utilities and cable set up. I haven't found a downside to living here and I am glad to call it home.

This apartment is so relaxing and nice. Living on the water and having access to a pier is so nice. The courtyards are lovely and help a lot to make you feel at home. We have enjoyed our home so much and all the renovations they continue to improve on for the residents. It's very family friendly and the apartments are beautifully designed!

My wife and I moved in June 2016 and have loved every minute of it! The staff is great! Super friendly and responds to everything in a timely way. Maintenance is quick and super friendly! Who doesn't want to spend their nights on the dock on the lake with a sunset? The Dwell on Clear Lake is a must for anyone moving to the area!

My husband and I have lived at the Dwell at Clear Lake for close to a year and we LOVE this apartment. All of the maintenance staff is friendly and come quickly to fix any problem you may have. The management and office staff are willing to help you with anything you need. The dock overlooking Clear Lake is my husband and I's favorite part of this complex. We love sitting down there at night to watch the sunset. The apartment itself is updated and has been kept in good shape. We would definitely recommend any of our friends to move into this complex.

We recently relocated here from Indiana, The experience has been fantastic! The office staff Amanda and Chris go out of their way to help with anything the can and maintenance is spot on and very friendly! So glad we made the decision to come here and the pictures on this site, do not do the property justice!! its beautiful and a dream come true to live here!

My name is Paul and I've lived here so far for 2 years, and I can honestly say that this is the best/smoothest/most stress-free experience I've ever had with an apartment complex. It's small, quiet, family-oriented and seriously a wonderful place for all age-groups, with some of the best amenities you'll find around! I absolutely love Amanda, Chris and the rest of the management team and they make living here an absolute dream!

I've lived here almost 2 years now. I've seen some changes in management during my time here and overall have seen nothing but improvement. The current management team is awesome and seeks to truly align policies with the "community spirit" of the property, but without sacrificing safety of the residents or the overall caliber of the experience here. They seem to always be striving for improvements and welcome feedback from the residents. The maintenance team is the BEST I've ever seen....very responsive. Keep up the great work!

I lived here back in 2015 and left for 2016. I recently moved back (2017) because I had the most fun, met so many great people, and my son met so many great friends! I love the events that they have for residents!

I've lived here for about 6 months now, and I love it. The new office people are amazing. They are always so friendly and go out of their way to help with any situation or issue that comes up. All our neighbors are so nice...everyone really seems to care about one another. We often cook out or fish together with everyone. Living on the lake in these beautiful apartments is like being on permanent vacation...except it's our actual everyday life!

My son's and I love this complex and property! New manager, Amanda, is doing a GREAT job, is attentive, professional, and works with you. The maintenance group is courteous, trustworthy, and timely! The people living here are diverse and friendly. Can't say enough good things about living here....have been here two years and will renew my lease!!!

I have lived hear for a year now. Great place and Amanda is a great manager!! I am renewing my lease and upgrading my apartment here. Wonderful!! Great views sunsets and sunrises are picture perfect! Maintenance is there on the spot when called! This is a community not just an apartment which is better than any place i have ever been. You get the feeling of a condo vacation away from the city but close to both Galveston, and Houston and of course major shopping centers. If you are looking for a peaceful upgraded community this is your place.

I've lived here for 5 months and love it! The office staff especially the manager Amanda are very friendly and stay on top of things especially service calls.

The people that work at the Dwell are absolutely awesome, they were extremely comforting to us the second we stepped in the door as the process of moving can be very stressful. They answered all our questions , showed us around and were very quick to respond via email. They made the decision to choose them very easy . As far as the apartments themselves, they are in a great location, walking distance from the water and newly renovated inside and out. We are excited to live here at the Dwell !

Today 12/30/15 I went the to check pricing and before I left I didn't care about the pricing although it was dark and gloomy out the environment was bright and vibrant. Lynette did my tour around the apartment , I felt as if my search was finally over , I have found my home even though it was out of my budget I knew this was where I wanted to be. I have been apartment hunt all week the love and warmth that u got from this tour let me know that this will be my home for me and my kids . I will definitely refer other after I move in of course don't want anyone taking my new home ;)

I have lived in apartments throughout my whole life, and few have compared to this property. The owner lives onsite, so it is kept immaculate. I love how friendly the staff and maintenance team is! They respond to your requests within hours, and always email back within 20 minutes or so. Living here is a dream! All of the other residents are so cool & happy to make a new friend. I have met a lot of them, and they invited me to hang out/party almost immediately. The residents here like to have a good time, but are respectful of others. It is a peaceful and relaxing place to live. Honestly, it is the perfect apartment and I couldn't be any happier! P.S. The manager is awesome & knows her stuff. She called me back within 10 mins on her day off to answer a question for me. She is always happy to help in any way. Billie the maintenance guy goes above and beyond the call of duty. He helped me connect my washer/dryer after his shift was done. All in all, the staff here truly cares about the quality of their work and the residents.

The apartments themselves are nice, but there are a few things that really ruined the experience. I could never open the blinds on any of my windows. Each window faced directly into someone else's apartment. There were quite a few college aged people living in complex, so every weekend there was a great deal of noise. There were also a great many bugs and spiders. I lived on the third floor and spent quite a lot of time killing spiders and centipedes. The management said they had sprayed and I was paying the extermination fee as part of my rent, but the bugs kept coming. Then management tried to make trash pick up easier on the residents by placing receptacles outside every apartment for them to pick up trash. While this was more convenient for trash, it was also more convenient for bugs. If the trash was there for longer than a few minutes, all manor of bugs would accumulate.

I moved into this apartment in December of 2014. The newly renovated apartments are nice, along with the waterfront location. Recently new management has taken over when the owner of the complex moved in here. His first action he took upon arrival was to kick out the property management company and bring in his own workers. The next thing the owner decided to do was charge for parking, which screwed up the entire parking situation. The only thing the owner sees is dollar signs, he does not care about the residents. Shortly after the parking, they decided to put trash cans in front of each door and charge people 65 a month for trash service. They are very unprofessional and lack customer service skills, and actually just all around respect. I would not recommend moving into Dwell at Clear Lake!!!
