Please do not move here WARNING you now! Every month multiple times during the month peoples cars have been broken into, tires stolen(mine stolen too) someone got held at gun point, and now apartment was broken into. The security officer they say that they have on site is never seen during day or night. The safety is a joke and is an issue. They have alarms but ours never worked or got fixed but still wouldn’t give that as an excuse to live here. If you live here or choose to be aware of surroundings as your definitely being watched. No cameras around the property only ones are at the front gate which they seem to never see anything and that’s suspicious… the gate code has never changed, neighbors said it’s been the same for 15+years so everyone has that. You definitely will see people rush in behind you or through the exit gate to get in the complex. Oh and there is problems with bugs and dog poop everywhere around the property. Overall just don’t move here in all seriousness and for your safety.

Cortland Med Center has been more than amazing to me! They literally have been more than helpful. I have been a resident at Cortland for almost a year now and I have enjoyed every minute of it. The leasing office treat you like family and they go above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable in your home and in your community. They have helped me tremendously in this recent situation that I was put in, and for that I am forever thankful for Cortland. I have recently been wanting to moved back to Houston and of course this place caught my eye! Being out state I was really worried about my experience with touring places. Tristan was the leasing agent I spoke with and he was so great! He guided me through a virtual tour and it really felt like I was there. He was so patient and never rushed me! The staff here alone makes me wanna move there but the property itself was well maintained and updated! I would definitely recommend!

Great staff! Great maintenance team! The standards at all cortland properties are great but this location is special because of where it’s located. It gives a home feel but being close to the city is a plus for work.

Based on the properties I have lived at before, this one takes the cake and I will be living here long term! From the time I've moved in, I've experienced nothing but good customer service. Starting from the office staff and also the maintenance team. Whenever I need anything, it's like the put urgency into it, and that's what I love, especially if I'm spending money to live here. I love the food trucks every week. Rats, rats, and more rats! No matter how clean you are they are infested! Not telling you not to move but telling you they have rats. Not safe! They won’t communicate any of the things going on around everything is hush hush unless you communicate with the community!

- Pros: Really beautiful complex/upgraded units, polite and friendly staff, gym on site, washer/dryer in unit, brand new chrome appliances, pet friendly community, etc. - Cons: Crime (car parts stolen, gunshots, etc), dogs not leashed/picked up after, AIR BNBs, no security, only AT&T allowed and the internet SUCKS! You’ll see a lot of reviews about it, and the property denies...They are LIARS! There’s multiple units listed on the Air BNB website from different accounts, they just don’t state the property name “Cortland”, but as a tenant, the proof is in the photos. It’s very easy to see when you look at Air BNB around NRG stadium. They lie and say “we don’t have AIR BNB units here”…but there is. There’s a man living here who said he WORKS for Cortland and lists units on Air BNB. I think some tenants also rent our their unit themselves. Crime started up here and we all KNOW it's because of the Air BNB units. Multiple cars here had tires/car parts stolen. You’ll hear gunshots occasionally. There was an incident where "people who don't live here broke into the pool” and a fight broke out and someone was shot. IMPORTANT NOTE: YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO USE AT&T HERE AND THE INTERNET SUCKS! YOU AREN’T ALLOWED TO UPGRADE, THE PROPERTY ONLY ALLOWS 50 MBPS FOR $50! We can't even play our PS5 properly, and we can't stream shows/movies because our internet constantly disconnects. This is supposed to be a “luxury” apartment community, yet they allow tenants who get rent assistance to live here (these are usually the residents causing problems in the community, too..)

We're happy to hear that you have enjoyed your home here as well as the amenities, but we would like to address the concerns you have had around AirBnB listings and criminal activity. Per all of our leases, subletting homes via services like AirBnB is not permitted. We are working to address this with the individuals we find responsible for doing this and have also been reporting these listings through AirBnB. If you are aware of anyone partaking in this activity, please let us know as soon as possible. While crime can occur in any neighborhood despite best efforts, we do take many measures to prevent it from making its way into our community. Unfortunately the incident you described occurred after non-residents climbed the pool gate. This was an isolated incident and we worked with police in their investigation regarding the matter. After this occurred, we also increased our onsite security from 5 days a week to 7 and hired a new courtesy officer. Hello, We are disappointed to hear that your experience at Cortland Med Center has not been as great as we would hope for. Our community does not allow residents to sublease their homes on platforms such as AirBNB and VRBO. If you are aware of residents doing this, please let us know so we can ensure this activity does not continue. We do allow short term corporate leases, which while similar to the aforementioned platforms, go through our office and are subject to the same background checks and rental criteria as a resident in a standard lease. Early this week we had a main plumbing line burst. Unfortunately, we cannot predict when something like this could happen and this type of repair requires the water to be shut off temporarily. Our pools are cleaned every day of the week but Sunday. We would love to speak with you and work to turn your experience around. Maintenance is closing out tickets and not performing the work. I’m seeing black mold around my windows and air vents. They did nothing about it from the last ticket other than change my air filter. I’m wasting time being home and they aren’t showing up.
Great location, relatively competitive rental rates, but lacking in efficient management
The Cortland med center are the most beautiful apartments. They are so convenient for me and I love my apartment.
I love living here. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. If you have any concerns theyre always there to hear you out and help in any way possible. FYI The pool is one of my favorites. Feels like youre at a 5 star hotel.
Cortland at The Med Center is a beautiful apartment community living space. Greatest moments here happen in the amenity rooms!

I’ve resided in this community for approximately three years and it’s been very pleasant. I’ve had little to no issues in this complex. Any time an issue has occurred with my packages the office manager, and receptionist are quick to assist. I appreciate having staff in charge I can trust.
The staff is nice & very responsive. My only complaint is that some residents don’t pick up after their pets!
Very nice apartment homes. Pretty much quiet for the most part. Love the floorplans and amenities. The pool is EVERYTHING!!
It is a nice and cute apartment but the soundproof is terrible. You can even hear your neighbors talking
Amenities are nice but management DOES NOT communicate well with residents. Frequent power outages are also immensely annoying.
nice residents, nice neighbors..the community itself looks elegant and unaffordable...friends and family love the layout ..we live here over years..this is our third apartment ..safe place for women to feel comfortable when working out, walking or just sitting by the poolside..

Definitely Recommend These Apartments ! I lived in apartments for 7 years now, no other apartment have ever made me feel as good as these, actually knew me by my name, which is big to me. Had amenities like the ones we do. Definitely a must!!! Check It Out. And No, they are not paying me for this review lol. I genuinely feel that these are some of the best apartments I ever lived at. And I been at alot.
Love this place! Ive lived here since I moved to Houston and its quiet, safe, and close to everything.
As a longtime Resident I can vouch anyone thinking of moving here will not be disappointed. The office Staff is AMAZING and very professional. If you get to meet Angie, Shun or Jason youll be in the right hands.

I have lived here since 2019 and have enjoyed my time here very much! I love the landscape, updated apartments, amenities, and great staff. The location is great and the price is very reasonable, especially given its prime location. I am also thankful in how maintenance and staff responds to requests/concerns in a timely manner. The community is quiet, yet filled with many friendly folks. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

Cortland Med Center has been a great living experience. The apartments have modern upgrades, the outdoor areas are always upkept, it has plenty of privacy, and is really close to the heart of all the amazing food and happenings in Houston.
I love the quietness of this community and the office staff are simply AMAZING!!!!
They give wonderful customer service before you sign the lease. Afterwards, you can forget about it! I pay way too much to not be taken serious!
