It is very poorly maintained and very poorly run. Never in my life have I had such a terrible rental experience than I have had at this property and with this company. Strongly advise against choosing to live there. Would not recommend any other properties owned or managed by Cortland either, no matter the location

The hallways are disgusting, they never get cleaned in the upper levels or the far reaches of the building. Doors are busted and metal wall plates are loud and loose.
Look here but don't stop. Keep looking. There are better options for less money.
Cortland Legacy is a really quiet community, and the fitness center is pretty nice. I’d highly recommend it !

Good location, no frills apartment. Good apartment interior, but that's about it. Corridors have stench of trash. Amenities are ordinary, swimming pool is claustrophobic but clean. Maintenance is timely. Amazon fresh or Doordash faces trouble getting in, so you have to meet them outside.

Living at Cortland Legacy puts a smile on my face every day... ... well, almost every day. In another words I Love Living here
As a resident of Cortland Legacy for 4.5 years there are many reasons why I stay. 1st - the location cannot be beat!! Also # 1 is the management staff. There have been 3-4 management teams in last 4 years and they get better each time. Sierra is the best! She makes herself accessible as a manager. She is caring about her community and the residents that reside here. At Cortland Legacy I have been treated like a valued resident, not just an apartment #. They make an effort to keep the buildings clean both interior and exterior. They even updated recently to a more modern look/ feel. Cortland legacy just feels like “home”.
Cortland Legacy is my new home! Everything I need is there. My beautiful apartment, the surrounding area, how close to the most favorite places, and the great team there! Thank you guys!

Ive had a horrible experience with Cortland Legacy. My neighbors above me have been noisy since I moved in 2 years ago. The AC in my bathroom has leaked puddles for 2 years, even though theyve claimed to fix it 20 times. Also, my air was out for most of the year of 2021. Theres always an excuse when I speak with management. I respect my neighbors by not disturbing their quiet enjoyment, and its sad that I cant get the same in return. I would not recommend that anyone move here. They try to have this upscale living, but they miss the mark horribly.

Horrible management, rat infestation..dont rent with cortland
I enjoy living at Cortland Legacy Apartments and they are very convenient to everything.
The entire Cortland Legacy community team is stellar -- from leasing to resident services and maintenance to safety -- as residents for almost 7 years, we know they have improved this apartment community 100% since taking over in late 2019. We always feel we are appreciated and supported in our requests and needs, even during challenging times for us personally and for everyone locally and nationally -- and we were able to move to a larger unit when we needed more space. The location is so convenient for busy professionals like us, and we love having perks like garage/covered parking, a package hub, a lovely clubhouse and secure entry.
We are very pleased with the management. staff, and the maintenance group especially Jerome. When you include the location, this is the place to live.
In regard to location to work or amenities, this place is definitely a good spot to get started on taking roots here in North Texas. Due to the recent winter storm, it's understandable that there is damage in the hallways of the apartment. The staff in the apartment is very accommodating to my needs, however do keep in mind that some service requests will occur without prior notification and people may come in without covering their shoes, so apartment cleanliness will be important. Depending on the unit you're applying for, you might end up with an apartment that hasn't been maintained for quite some time, so heavy inspection is important, especially for the sealants around windows and the function of patio doors. Community events also occur in the apartment, to which the staff of the apartment are always willing to initiate, so you may learn something new as you stay here. As for general climate, it's currently late-spring/early summer, so do keep in mind of the pests that are active around here, especially for residents that arrive here from colder climates where pests are less likely to be active. They are considerably more aggressive around here, so a paradigm shift for certain habits, like leaving produce on counters, may no longer be feasible. As for the fees, the rent itself will stay the same during your lease time, however additional fees can occur due to the presence of a washer/dryer, trash/pest services or if you need internet or home insurance. Over here in the Stonebriar area, AT&T is the only internet provider, so do keep in mind based on your previous interactions with the company. There are also overnight guest restrictions in the lease including how long they can stay, so it's important to notify the staff if a guest is coming over to stay to coordinate a good plan for the staff and the guests. The area around here is also very exciting, in both a good and bad way. During this time, weather and police sirens can occur to disturb your sleep or you could be unlucky with an unruly neighbor which could lower the experience even further. Admittedly, I am a bit nervous for Super Bowl season for that reason. Other than that, it depends on your lifestyle. Like many living areas, it will take some time, work, and money to put together your ideal living area, but there are plenty of resources nearby to help you out.
I really enjoy living at Cortland Legacy and it is a friendly community.

This is a fantastic community and the ownership truly shows how much they know the residences along with their personal situation. If you want to be at home this is the place and Cortland Legacy has proven their value.
I have lived at Cortland Legacy for three years and have enjoyed my stay. The gym, pool and clubhouse areas are great amenities and kept very clean. The staff is friendly and willing to help with issues. Pre-Covid we had fun community activities to mingle with your neighbors. We now have virtual activities which have been very fun too. The building is aging, but upgrades are being made to bring it up to date inside and out. You cannot beat the location with easy access to the DNT and SR Tollways. There are great restaurants on location and a quick drive or Uber ride to Shops of Legacy, Legacy West, The Star, Lava Cantina, Top Golf, Stonebriar Mall area and so much more for shopping and fun. I recommend choosing Cortland Legacy as your next home.

Beautiful apartments with excellent service in maintenance and leasing . Extra friendly staff and always available.
If you love dogs and dont mind pet hair or being chased and growled at in the hallways or the way to the trash chute by dogs this the community for you!

Cortland legacy is a great apartment to live at. I tour many apartments and when I toured cortland I fell in love. After living here almost two months I still love it the same. Very quiet and clean apartment. Definitely recommend!
Cortland legacy is perfectly located to shops and restaurants. Quiet community with many upgrades and continued improvements.
Good view from my apartment. Not much community or events but so far its a peaceful place to live.
