The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Commons at Kettering
I love my new apartment. The staff is very helpful and nice and are always willing to help. I have lived here for a few months now and it just fits me. I Would definitely recommend Commons at Kettering.
The management does not care about apartment issues, cleanliness of lobby’s, or maintenance repairs. Washing machine caught fire, was told they don’t fix- but smoke remained in building, other leasing tenants made unaware. Maintenance takes anywhere from 2-6 weeks to address any issue, because there’s just 2 men, (that pick trash up outside more than keep up with repairs!) Lobby trash always overflowing with rotten smell, food left in common areas from deliveries. And if you decide to rent after this, make sure your apartment is CLEAN. They do not properly sanitize or clean cabinets, bathroom tub/toilet. Floors left with caked dirt. Head of management that has “family” that lives here picks and chooses what buildings are maintained. Do your research before you sign, these places are scum.
All the bills of home ownership without owning anything. Rented here for three years, in Dec 2017 management changed over and things went downhill fast. You have rent that has gone up, sewage/trash now fluctuates each month and you now pay for area maintenance fees. Our AC went out in June and its now Oct and we are without heat. They need more maintenance workers as they only have two currently. They are able to come over once and if the problem isn't fixed in one visit, you have to call to schedule another visit. Stay away from Commons until AMC LLC changes.

We're saddened to see your opinion toward our community has made such a change over time. We understand how a transition in management can be troubling, and we greatly appreciate our residents' patience and understanding during that time. We want all of our residents to be comfortable in their homes, and we apologize if our maintenance team's efforts were not to your satisfaction. We only ask for a follow-up maintenance request so we may have an organized list of matters we must tend to. Please allow us the opportunity to improve your time with us moving forward, and pay us a visit here at the office so we may further discuss your thoughts and resolve any issues you may have. Thank you.
I wanted to take the time to thank manager in the office. Everyone always jumps at writing negative reviews but never give good ones when they should, so here goes - She helped me out a couple months ago when my son needed an apartment ASAP due to the other one falling through. She was able to make everything happen with out any bumps in the road and just a smooth move. I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous since we had such a bad experience at the other place, but I was able to call that Friday and come in with my son later that day. She was able to have everything set up where it would be ready by Monday. And it was! Since then they have been great! My son has called for a couple minor maintenance issues and they are taken care of right away. I highly recommend them. I feel better about this apartment and feel like my son is in good hands with the office manager there! Sincerely, Carole D.

I live here and go to school not to far away. I think they are great apartments. The office is very nice and they are pet friendly. I like that I am close to everything since I don't drive.

That is so awesome to hear! Thank you for this glowing review of The Commons at Kettering! We're thrilled to hear our convenient location, wonderful homes, pet-friendly policies, and attentive staff are serving you so well! We look forward to continue providing you with exceptional service and a 5-star home life for many years to come! Remember, the office is always just a quick phone call away if there is anything you ever need! Thanks again!
I lived here for two years, and in that time this complex went from a solid 3.5/5 to a solid .5/5. The parking lots are always full with non tenants, and both the last management and current refuse to address the issue. Our cars were hit multiple times and damaged with no notice or recourse. After the management changed in December the issues only got worse. The head company AMCLLC did not inform tenants to new and invasive policies when they assumed ownership. If you value your cars and privacy, DO NOT RENT HERE. The quality of paint and caulk jobs are atrocious and the apartments themselves are way too small for what you pay. Keep looking.

We value all resident feedback, especially from long-term residents such as yourself, and regret that we've fallen short of your expectations. Management changes are a transitory time, but we ensure all new staff is trained in delivering the exceptional customer service our residents expect. If you have suggestions to share in regards to parking, maintenance, or anything else, please schedule a time to speak with management directly. We look forward to improving your experience here and we are working on getting the parking lots taken care of. Thank you.
