The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Common Brower (Furnished Rooms)
I like the private bathroom, and the shared spaces are always clean. It’s a bit noisy on weekends, but manageable overall. I was nervous about moving to NYC, but Outpost made it a breeze. Their seamless application process and friendly staff gave me peace of mind.
The apartment was fully furnished, and the location was convenient. There were a couple of issues with maintenance that took longer to resolve, but nothing too serious. I’d recommend it, just be sure to ask about the cleaning schedule!
The private bathroom in my Executive room was such a nice touch, and the design of the space felt very welcoming. The proximity to the subway and local attractions like the Brooklyn Museum made it easy to make the most of my trip.
I lived in this building, which is now managed by Outpost. Looking at the photos, it’s definitely the same place I stayed. My room came furnished and was ready on move-in day, which made things simple. The common areas were always clean, and the kitchen was the main place to run into people, sometimes quiet, sometimes social. Overall, it felt safe, well-managed, and convenient, and Outpost made the whole experience smooth.
I appreciate how walkable the neighborhood is. The executive suite with its private bathroom has been worth the splurge. Having laundry in-unit. An absolute game-changer.
I have a private bathroom, which is a game-changer, and the apartment is close to Prospect Park. The in-unit laundry is a huge plus for someone like me who hates laundromats.
The in-unit washer and dryer saved me so much time, and the subway access is unbeatable. Crown Heights has such a cool vibe, with amazing spots like Peaches HotHouse and Frog Wine Bar just around the corner. As far as I know, this place is managed by Outpost, not Common.
Love the common spaces and the rooftop. The rooms are decent-sized, and I’ve had some amazing jam sessions with my housemates. Could use better soundproofing.
As a grad student, the Brower House fit my needs perfectly. I had an Executive room with a private bathroom, which was a lifesaver during my finals. The nearby Brower Park became my go-to study spot, and I appreciated how well-connected the area was—being on multiple subway lines made commuting stress-free.
I stayed at The Brower House for two months during my internship, and it truly felt like home. My room was bright, spacious, and even had a private bathroom—such a luxury! The location is unbeatable: just a 5-minute walk to the subway, and Manhattan is less than 20 minutes away. Crown Heights is full of amazing spots, like ZACA CAFE with its delicious vegan options. Highly recommend!
