Country Lane Estates traces its history to the mid-1800s with two prominent citizens who influenced the current landscape of the area. Old Red Bridge, in Minor Park, was first built by Col. George N. Todd in 1859. The current Old Red Bridge, built in 1933, serves as a romantic reminder of the area's past. William E. Minor owned a vast stretch of land just east of Country Lane Estates that eventually became Minor Park in 1956. Before Minor owned the land, part of the Santa Fe Trail ran through the property.
This relatively quiet area is home to an array of mid-rise apartments and condos, all within a short distance to Interstate 435 and the thoroughfares around the area. Longview Lake and Overland Park are just 15 minutes to the east and west, respectively, making it easy to get anywhere from Country Lane Estates.

Nice...until you leave
It was a nice place to live until I decided to move out. All semblance of courtesy apparently ends when you give your 60 day notice. Up until then I would have recommended Cloverset. Unfortunately I can no longer do that.

CLOVERSET APARTMENTS
I've lived in Cloverset apartments on and off for the last 20 years, and I like that it's not a huge complex, so if you need something taken care of in your place, it's usually done fairly quickly. The complex is close to 103rd street, which has a grocery store, gas stations, fast food, restaurants, car dealerships, etc. all very close to home. The rental company does tend to try and spike up the rental price a bit too much when renewal times come, which is not good when your income hasn't gone up in years and nothing has been improved in your apartment, but for the size of the apartment, the prices aren't bad compared to other places.
