The city of Williamsburg is like stepping back in time. Well, in the historic district anyway. Founded in 1632, many of the settlement’s original structures still stand today as museums – all of Duke of Gloucester Street is a living history museum.
Because of its long-standing historical significance, tourism has a huge presence in Williamsburg. Other attractions that make up this fully-progressive city include Virginia’s oldest winery as well as a botanical garden.
The College of William and Mary, the nation’s second-oldest school, resides in Williamsburg. Its campus is in walking distance of historic sites, award-winning restaurants, taverns, and boutiques.
Williamsburg residents enjoy a plethora of conveniences, including direct access to major roadways and public transit. For those who enjoy golf, the Golden Horseshoe Golf Course is minutes away from town.

12/9/2022 My husband and I were looking for a 3 month short term rent, not very expensive and possibly with some of the utilities included in Williamsburg, Va. we looked for a while but all we could find were extremely expensive, 6 months rent minimum and no utilities included. On my last search, I found these apartments, some of the reviews were awful but we needed to see it for ourselves. Tracey, showed us the apartment and we loved it. Everything was clean, very low rent payment, short term and all utilities included!!! Who could ask for more! Tracey was very wonderful, friendly and helpful, everyone working there were great. Nice and respectful neighbors, We were kind of getting attached to this place but we had to move to overseas, it was a sad good bye but we enjoyed our last 3 months in this place. Also, even when some people left reviews about finding bugs in their apartments, I have to say my husband and I didn’t even find one at all.
Rita and Teresa the best- friendly and helpful to show apartments, quickly arranged the lease and move in and are always cheerful. The apartment condition was super clean and the building is well kept… Billie took the time to ask if all well after move in and always has a friendly hello. Apartment is in a great location at a very reasonable rent. Recommend!!
I got here 3 months ago for work, loved the location, close to everything. And from the time I got here up until now, I saw a lot of Improvement to the building which I appreciate, it makes it more like a comfortable environment for me. And the staff are really helpful especially the property manager who I noticed to be staying late most of the time. They do fix request maintenance on time.

This apartment has an excellent location to all Williamsburg has to offer. Overall this is a good complex for someone who is just starting out. Utilities are included so it is good for someone who is unfamiliar with budgeting outside of rent. This is also a secured building so it is fairly safe. I say fairly safe because often other residents will prop open doors. I have lived here for just over two years and have been through I think 4 apartment managers. They have ranged from fantastic to poor. The poor managers did not last while the fantastic ones seem to stick around longer. The walls are really thick and I rarely hear my neighbors. Lastly, there have been some hiccups in my time here that have needed to be resolved. Most of them were resolved very promptly and professionally. The ones that were not resolved professionally were due to the manager at the time and does not reflect the current office manager.
Love the location. Right near a bus stop that goes straight to campus, walking distance to shops and a grocery store. Utilities included, so I don't have to worry about it. Great easy apartment. Low hassle, pay online with bank account, debit or credit. Rent by the room. Nice lounge areas.
City Lofts is located in an excellent area. You're only a few minutes drive away from most of the major attractions in the city, including Colonial Williamsburg, the historic part of town. A lot of students live here because it is so close to both the main William & Mary Campus and the Law School. The building is a converted hotel, but the walls are thick so you rarely hear your neighbors, and your utilities are included with your rent, which makes this an especially good place for students not used to living on their own. Everyone is welcome, of course, regardless of whether or not you're a student and the staff here is both helpful and easy to get in touch with. City Lofts really is a good apartment complex, so if you live in the area or are just moving to it, consider checking this place out.
