Mandeville, Louisiana is a small city on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain. Just across the lake, you’ll find Louisiana’s most popular tourist spot, New Orleans. At one time, Mandeville was a lakeside summer resort for the wealthy, and remains from that time can be found in the older parts of the city, like the historic properties on Lakeshore Drive. The city’s well-established, wooded suburbs come with upscale amenities, like fine dining, local shops, and day spas. For the best fine dining, seafood cuisine, and water views on the North Shore, be sure to visit Rips on the Lake.
For nature lovers, Fontainebleau State Park is the place to be. With cabins, campsites, and a 31-mile trail for biking and hiking, the park is a one-stop-shop for outdoor recreation. Boating is a popular activity on Lake Pontchartrain with boat ramps and marinas located along the shore.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Chapel Creek
The apartments are full of mold. I would not recommend unless you want be sick the whole time u live there
Tenants smoking weed constantly. The weed smell would go through to our apartment, from their bathroom to ours, And nothing could be done by office personnel. Very high electric bill. Very high move out fees. Dumpsters overflowing. The gates rarely worked. Shady characters coming in and out. Neighbor’s son was jumped in the apartment parking lot. As for electric bills, My 2 br unit Cleco electric bills were October: $201, Nov.:$167, Dec.:$230. I moved to my new 4 bedroom 1700 sq ft home and my Cleco bills are: October: $87, Nov: $89, Dec: $78. It has to be structural and how old the buildings are. The unsafe feeling of living there, the unsanitary dump site, outlandish electric bills, and breathing in second hand marajuana every night while I tried to sleep with my 2 children was absolutely appalling. Therefore, we sent in our 90 day notice, paid their ridiculously high fees and left. I think they know you will pay whatever you need to just to get out of there. In my opinion, it is a very distasteful, waste of property for our beautiful Mandeville.
I would give this apartment complex a minus star if I could. READ THIS BEFORE YOU CONSIDER THIS PLACE. I lived there 2016-2017 and it was really nice. Unfortunately, my son lived there recently and it has all gone downhill. It looks crappy inside and out. The kitchen drawers were falling apartment. The shower heads did not work properly. The ac vent in the bedroom did not work. They never fixed any of these problems. And then when he recently moved out, they are trying to charge him $800 plus the nonrefundable pet deposit. I saw the apartment because I helped him move out. They charged him for "debris removal"??? What debris??? A $125 turn around fee which is for cleaning as I found out. AND then on top of that charging additional fees ($30 each) for cleaning a toilet, refrigerator, oven, etc. The used the bathroom and looked inside the refrigerator. Neither one was dirty. And as far as debris, I don't even know what they are talking about. This is just a way of them making a months rent off of him for their own gain.
I have resided in Chapel Creek apartments for a little over a year and a half. When I first moved in, lights were broken, the tub drain was filled with dog hair and would not close, the washing machine broke after the first week, and the carpets were filthy. Other issues included the carpet coming up, a bug infestation (they know about it), and using cheap paint. Three trash areas are always overfilled, with trash being left outside of the unit, attracting bugs and rodents. The air condition does not reach the main bedroom, and everything is cheaply constructed. The fees are ridiculous; there's a cam fee paid every month, but the only cameras are located by the mailboxes. If you need maintenance, they will charge you and not even tell you, but ask you to refer to your lease. Doors and gates are to be opened with a key fob, but the door by my complex has never worked, so most people leave it open, defeating the purpose of being a secure complex. During the pandemic, they would not let anyone out of their leases, even if they were in dire need and they do not seem to care about their residents. The grounds are dirty, and there is never parking. The Rent seemed reasonable until I realized what it was.
Worst place to live manager is rude. Nothing gets fixed. Everything breaks. They don’t keep up with things at all. The amount of money you pay. Carpet is disgusting ripped up. U call to complain never get a call back pool siesta closed hot tub hasn’t worked in 2 years. I will not recommend it at all
Place is a joke if something breaks don't hold your breath on them getting it fixed right away. The gates have been broken for months the pool is always shut down and Lord forbid something breaks or needs to be repaired in your apartment cause it might be months before they get to it. The two managers must get paid bonuses that's why they keep the maintenance cost down. Move somewhere else.
Save your money. People can be as loud as the want. Terrible parking. Rude managers and so on
