The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Centennial Tower and Court
Do you enjoy your packages getting stolen, homeless people in the lobby, no hot water every morning, construction above your apartment at 7 am, water getting turned off 10+times a year for the entire day, and constant construction in every amenity? If so Centennial Tower and Court is the place to live. We currently live here and we cannot get out of our lease fast enough. Management is horrid and the building is falling apart, anytime you complain they give you some crap excuse and make absolutely no changes. Lived in about 8 different apartments and this is the first one I genuinely have massive complaints about. Please please save yourself the time and money and don't bother looking at this place unless you prefer to have a very long miserable year. If I could go below one star I would.
The elevator here go out of service at least a few times a week, most of the time only 1 out of the 3 elevator is working, and with 27 floors and many residents, you could be looking at 10-20 mins to get an elevator. And when ask the property manager about it, she literally told me I should be glad that I wasn't trapped inside the elevator for hours like some others have experienced (which in my short time living here happened at least twice). When you are paying this much for a high rise apartment, you would at least expect working elevators, right? Besides the elevator issue, this is a decent place, but I highly recommend stay away from here until they fix the elevators which they told everyone it will take at least 9 months...
They will say whatever they can to get you to sign your lease paperwork. Will fail to respond to any work orders that are submitted. Amenities were constantly out of order. Then when they decide that you owe them money, they hire the collection agency with the worst reputation that they can find. AVOID THIS COMPANY AND THEIR POOR BUSINESS AND TENANT PRACTICES!!
Centennial Tower and my experience there were the worst! Elevators constantly out of service, amenities (steam room, gym, common room, pool) on a rotating schedule of being out of order or broken. neighborhood was misrepresented as being safe and quiet. Drug dealers openly walking the street, prostitution, needles on the sidewalk, constant noise from the fire station across the street (that I was told I wouldn't be able to hear), utilities are billed whether you use them or not, no air conditioning for actual units, continual exterior noise from the remodel (coat of paint), unresponsive staff. Verbally told the agent that I was leaving the building as they were unable to follow through on their description of the building, neighborhood and available amenities. 4 years later I find out that they decided to sue me (I never received any notification)and sold the debt to some shady Collections/Law Firm.... Equity Residential has refuse to even have a dialogue, and their "Fair" collections company has echoed the same. Avoid this building and Equity Residential at all costs.
The Tower building has a massive exterior restoration project ongoing for up to a year (!)with dangling, suspended-in-air workers with serious pneumatic jack hammers that are relentless in disrupting everyone, all day long. The tower is currently unlivable to all but those with turtle shells to keep out all of the construction racket, we've gotten used to tuning it out of our minds. They helpfully post work-from-home people, stay-at-home parents, can use the nice amenity room, sigh, to escape the drilling. There is a building being built from the ground up just across the street, so get used to concrete pouring, hammering, banging, cranes, trucks, more racket. And word of late is a tower building storage locker got its lock snipped and all of the stored items went bye bye. Overall a decent property. They should pony up the moulah and have 5 or more teams instead of the current team of 1, to accelerate the process of selectively drilling the living daylights out of nearly every exterior surface of the Centennial tower building. The hot tub on the grand deck is the size of a bird bath; eco friendly yes, but not even an option due to its tiny, tiny, tiny wee size. Many common areas with standing water, black growth. If it weren't for the construction, we would recommend in a heartbeat. Front office service is excellent.
If I could rate this business zero stars, I would. My experience while living in the building was okay, not exceptional, but for the most part, I didn't have too many complaints. The moment I gave my notice to vacate was when I grew to despise this business. My lease terminated on the 16th of the month, and I had no intention of renewing. So my very last bill included prorated rent and utilities. The rent was calculated accordingly, I verified it myself, however when I checked what they were charging us for the "prorated" utilities bill, it was 1.5 times the maximum amount we had ever paid during my two years in the building. When I questioned this, Jill conveniently stopped responding to my email messages, though we had exchanges in the same email thread just days prior. Very professional, Jill... Before I moved out, I vacuumed and shampooed the carpet, cleaned the floor, windows, walls, counters...everything. The apartment was spotless. I was expecting to get most, or at least some of my deposit back after inspection. Neither my roommate and were present during the physical inspection because we were out of town, but Centennial didn't hesitate to take full advantage of that opportunity to rob us blind. I got a bill weeks later and turns out, not only had they blown through my entire deposit ($900), but I was being charged an additional $150 for repairs. Took a look at the statement, and they had charged us for a carpet replacement...when it was absolutely not necessary. The carpet was near brand new, just installed before I moved in and I kept it clean during my stay. Didn't have the energy to refute this, they would've probably ignored my emails anyway.
Our apartment feels like heaven in downtown Seattle. We have a spectacular view to South Lake Union, Mt. Baker and North Cascades. During the night this view is even more spectacular, a million of lights of different colors sparkling around the lake. Other buildings are far away enough that we also have privacy while enjoying the view in our PJs. Added bonus are that we can walk to so many places from here. Some days I start with a morning coffee and french pastries downstairs, other days I have fresh cannollis only a few blocks away with the best fresh roasted coffee across the street on 3rd and Cedar. Seattle's famous needle is just a few blocks away, with a beautiful park, and then..., so many restaurants in walking distance! Just heaven!
Overall a nice apartment. My husband and I live in the court part of Centennial, which is the shorter building, next to the tower. Our building is older and slightly neglected compared to the tower. For example, all the plants on the roof get automatically watered, but the water just pools on the ground and the plants are in sad shape. A friend of mine planted some tomatoes and other plants up on the roof though, which she takes care of, so they are nice. I do enjoy being able to go sit on the roof. I appreciate the tables, chairs, and grills that they have up there. We have to go to the tower to get packages from the front desk, use the pool, exercise room, and pool table/amenity room, which is fine since it's just a quick walk through the alley between the buildings. There are a crazy amount of packages getting delivered to the apartment, so there can be a few hours of waiting before you get the e-mail about having a delivery. However, for the amount they get, I think they do the best they can. The pool is okay, it's really shallow, but that is fine for swimming laps. They are okay at keeping up with the pool, the water level has been low a few times I have gone and the light that goes into the pool has been broken for a while. The pool and hot tub tend to be pretty clean though. I wish they would fix the sauna, but I have been here three months, with no word as to any plans of it being fixed. I was told during my tour that it might be fixed at an unknown date though, so I knew not to expect it. The gym is really. They started offering free yoga classes last month, every other Saturday, so I have really enjoyed that. I have actually only used the pool table once, but it's nice to have the option. Due to us living in a studio apartment, in the older building, we only have one window. Again, I knew about this, but with no cross breeze, it got very hot during the heat waves. The location is great! A lot of great places to eat close by, about a mile walk to pike place market, and I have been able to get around without a car. I have enjoyed living here so far and would recommend it.
