City planners wanted to preserve as much of the landscape as possible while also making a way for a sprawling city in need of high-quality, affordable housing. The major routes in this part of town are lined with mature oaks and plenty of greenery. Shopping malls and retailers like Crabtree Valley Mall blend into this park-like community seamlessly, and often can’t even be seen form the road. Although this neighborhood is known for being residential, you can find many major attractions nearby like the North Carolina Museum of Art off Blue Ridge Road. Many Raleigh residents call this section of town home because if provides affordable apartments complexes, established subdivisions with large lots, and convenient access to Downtown Raleigh, located less than 10 miles away.

This complex has really gone down hill in recent months. When we moved in our dryer was not working for the first 2 weeks we lived here. We were even paying extra to get a "newly renovated" unit. The paint needed to be redone as well within the first few weeks. Our air conditioner also went out within the first few months. Following that our breaker went out and took days to get it fixed so we had consistent power in our unit. Our ceiling was also peeling and had to be fixed twice. Our banister on the porch was also dangerously loose and the wood was rotting. The repair consisted of a few nails. It is still not very secure. We have also had the same roof leak addressed and it continues to be an issue during storms. Most recently it took multiple maintenance requests for loose steps on our third floor apartment to be fixed. We spent over a month with steps that were dangerous to go down and had a small baby to navigate them with. Over all very disappointed.

I recently moved into my apartment, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Let me start by saying that the location is simply unbeatable. Situated just a stone's throw away from the lake, every day feels like a retreat into nature, and after living in downtown Durham, it is a great change of scenery. To top it off, it is very close to Crabtree Valley Mall and Cinemark movie theater. Now, about the apartment itself. It is a 90’s build which does come with its quirks and challenges, but to me, that only adds to its character. Despite its age, the price is incredibly fair, making it accessible without compromising on quality. One of the standout features of this place is the exceptional team behind it, to be honest. From day one, they've been nothing short of incredible. The staff is not only friendly but also incredibly responsive to any concerns or issues that arise. It's clear that they genuinely care about the well-being and satisfaction of the residents, which is a rare find in today's fast-paced world. I do want to extend a special thank you to Emily and Jessie for their invaluable help throughout the leasing process. They made what could have been a stressful experience remarkably smooth and hassle-free. Their professionalism and dedication truly set them apart, and I'm grateful for their support every step of the way. Overall, I couldn't recommend this apartment more highly. With its prime location, fair pricing, and top-notch team, it's truly a hidden gem that I feel fortunate to call home.

Bridgeport is a very comfortable and quiet place to live. It’s located in a great part of Raleigh that’s a 5-10 minute drive to anything you really may need. The residents and staff all seem to be very friendly. It’s also a plus to live on a Lake surrounded by a trail.

My experience at Bridgeport has been great so far! Application process and approval was smooth and easy, all my questions were answered. Move in went smoothly. The apartment is beautiful. The location is fantastic. The amenities cover what you need. All my service requests have been addressed so far. Staff is very nice and friendly. I would recommend this community!

We moved to Bridgeport in 2005. The proximity to the Lake Lynn walking path and easy egress with the Glendower traffic signal are very attractive. Maintenance is very prompt and professional. Insect repellent professional spray is available on Fridays by calling the rental office. Rents are competitive. The sprinkler system is reassuring. Location is convenient.
Great location. Nice office staff. Maintenance seem incompetent, some amenities are too old and/or don’t work, apartment walls were filthy. The place smelled of smoke when we moved in, and the dryer didn’t work. 2/5 thus far.

Excellent maintenance and office staff. Beautiful trees and spacing between buildings. Easy access to Lake Lynn walking trail. Easy access with traffic signal on Glendower and Leesville roads.

Bridgeport is a quiet community, situated within close walking distance of a small, pleasant lake park. The apartments are mostly unremarkable but older, and poorly insulated which can result in discomfort and high power bills. The staff is friendly, but it can be extremely difficult to get maintenance performed. All in all, while the apartments are certainly livable, they seem to represent a poor value given the prices being charged.

This is the second apartment complex I have lived in in Raleigh since moving from DE and I must say nothing but great things about Bridgeport apartments. The entire staff are all very polite and professional. I have truly enjoyed living here so much. I would recommend Bridgeport to anyone looking for a place!

A very nice community to live in. Feels safe living here. The staff are friendly and professional. Being right next to Lake Lynn is a plus! Love walking the trail around the lake.

Bridgeport is the ideal community. If you have pets this is the place for you. Between the clean and updated apartments and the swimming pool and the amazing staff, you cant miss. Ample parking at all times, easy to reach staff, valet trash removal, package deliveries, the lake, proximity to everything and prices are just some of the positives about Bridgeport. I wish there was a playground to make it more kid friendly but you cant beat the pool. Or have them run around the dog park. Bridgeport is highly recommended and I hope to stay here for a long time until I find my forever home.

So far, my family and I enjoy living at Bridgeport apartments. We enjoy having access to Lake Lynn, the Amazon Hubb, and being near various grocery stores and restaurants. So far, no issues with parking and our neighbors seem friendly.

Bridgeport apartments is AHMAZING!!! Its so peaceful here! The staff really care about their residents and make it feel so homey!! Lets not forget how much they go out their way to keep everyone updated in a timely fashion!! Maintenance has always come and makes sure everything is up to par on time! Ive been here since April 2020; and even through the pandemic, my experience has been awesome! Go Bridgeport!!! Thank you for making me feel home away from home! Ashley Gatling

I think management needs to do a little bit better with making sure each resident is heard and communication needs to be a little better . The first set of management that was in the office when I moved here was great and very involved with residents needs.

I've mostly enjoyed living here. I've been here 3 years. The prices keep going up and the quality of the units does not improve in kind. Management also changes too frequently to become familiar with anyone specific.

Very friendly and helpful staff, apartment in good condition, well maintained grounds and convenient location....plus Lake Lynn greenway access is a bonus! Would definitely recommend Bridgeport for rentals. :)
