Property Ratings at Braxton at Brier Creek
Property manager is a very nice guy and so is the staff but there is alot of people moving out due to the recent uptake in crime. We had our car broken into in broad daylight and have awaken to gun shots at night and police knocking on doors. For the type of money you pay in rent here, you should feel relaxed and at peace in your home, not on edge and on the lookout.

Great amenities, staff is awesome, neighbors are quiet and respectful. Apartments are updated and/or getting fully renovated. You really get what you pay for AND more. You don’t feel like you’re in an urban area. Easily accessible to great dining and parks for walking. 10/10

This is my first apartment I was very excited to move-in and everything has been perfect so far. I love the granite counters and the huge sink in the kitchen. The office staff was super helpful and even helped me bring in some large packages. This location is close to my favorite stores +++

I have been dealing with HUGE roaches. The exterminator comes biweekly. Now instead of finding bugs on the floor I find them on the ceiling. My last upstairs neighbor was extremely loud. I was told they were moving soon. They moved two months later. ??. My new neighbors wake up at 4 or 5 am everyday. I gave up on trying to sleep and now I do my homework at 4 am. My new neighbors aren’t loud but I can hear every step they take through the cheap hardwood flooring that isn’t properly insulated. I was told my only option to resolve my issues is to move to a smaller apartment on the 4th floor because bugs don’t get up there and I don’t have neighbors above me. Or pay 2x rent for a walk away fee. Staff is nice but they haven’t had any helpful solutions. I can’t reach corporate. Also, I am 6 months pregnant, sick, and can’t sleep while trying to study for law school, and have to constantly spray bug chemicals in my home. I would not recommend for families or young professionals.

I lived in Carrington at Brier Creek for 4 years. During these years, the apartment complex has undergone three changes in management. My experience with the first two managements was positive. However, most of my experience with the current management was negative. It is the worst I have ever had to deal with. The staff in the leasing office, Mandy and Gina particularly, are unprofessional, dishonest, and unethical in doing business. They are unpleasant and rude. They do not communicate properly with tenants and they only seem to worry about making sales by frequently adding unproven and invalid charges such as “Insurance Noncompliance Fee” when I had renter's insurance the entire time. Carrington falsely noted that we had no renter's insurance and proceeded to bill us for it every month thereafter, even though we provided them proof of insurance multiple times. In addition, I was disappointed about this whole experience of moving out. My advice to tenants is to watch out, when you are moving out, for improper overpaying you or improper charges for normal wear and tear. You should always be present during the final move-out inspection whenever possible and have pictures and videos in your possession; otherwise, you will be surprised with unproven and invalid fees.
First I was a great resident, always paid my rent on time, quiet and polite. They will automatically put you in a month to month if you do not give 60 days notice to vacate even though your lease is over. They automatically replace the carpet in almost every apartment when you move out and they charge you!! $630!!! For one small cleanable stain in a two bedroom. They will lie and say they consult cleaners but I lived there 18 months and never saw carpet cleaners but I always saw them replacing carpet when people moved out. This is horrible treatment to good people.
This place started out great, but now that Fogelman has taken over, the office staff is useless, unresponsive, they never answer the phone, and if you have a problem, they call you a liar. They also put a wireless router in the wall of the living room which is in an odd place, so there is no way to cover it and it looks like the back end of a microwave sticking out of the wall. There are constantly people having issues with auto break-ins, someone smashed up the large gas grill that people use year-round, so that had to be removed, and there have been multiple occasions when we have seen people dealing drugs in the parking lot. I can't wait until my lease is up!!! COMPLETELY overpriced for the mess this complex has become!
Wanted to say that for the past year we have enjoyed living here at Carrington at Brier Creek. All of the best dining is within reach and also great shopping. Everything is so close and convenient. Our apartment is very spacious and everyone here has been very welcoming and making our moving here, and living here a great experience. The staff here is also very helpful and are quick to address our needs. We feel this Community is a Safe place to raise a Family and feel very comfortable to bring our grandchildren around. Carrington at Brier Creek: My husband and I travel around the Triangle for work, and this location is super convenient. Not only is it a prime location to shopping, restaurants, and highways, the neighborhood is fantastic. Safe and quiet community, and the apartments are a great size, with plenty of storage!! We live in the 2 bedroom and 2 bath floor plan on the ground floor. We hardly ever hear our neighbors, both above and next door, and we have lived here almost 2 years. The staff are all so friendly and communicate efficiently with the residents when needed. We plan to stay here until we buy a home, and recommend to anyone looking for an upscale neighborhood and a spacious apartment!
Carrington at Brier Creek is a great place. The location is close to RTP and, of course, Brier Creek. Great restaurants, great shopping and a very responsive management team. The apartments are of good size and the kitchen are a 'stainless steel' dream. I 'had' to buy a microwave and K-Cup holder to match, of course. Good thing Target is so close by. Crown molding, ceiling fans in the Living and Bedrooms are a great touch. The gym is free and was recently renovated. If the gym isn't your thing, you can take a walk around the neighborhood. Just a great place to live. Having had to make the decision on an apartment from a distance (I recently moved here from Baltimore) I am so glad I was able to find out so much info about them online as I only had one day to do my visits. Carrington checked every box: Close to RTP, Quiet Neighborhood, but close to shopping and activities, Spacious apartments, Cable included and Valet trash (okay...truth be told, I didn't even know what that was, but it's pretty cool). The only reason for the Good instead of Excellent is spotty maintenance. I've had two maintenance issues; one was addressed immediately and the other was not addressed in a timely manner. But overall, Carrington is pretty awesome. Will definitely be renewing my lease.
