I recently requested to renew my lease. My experience has been great since moving here a year ago. The staff are great. Any questions I have. The managers will take time to explain or help me better understand a rule or procedure. Also coming from a big city. I'm treated as a real person. Not just a number. That's why I'm signing a new lease. Looking forward to another year here as a resident.
Very quiet nice neighbors and affordable housing with dog park and pool couldn’t get any better. I like how it is not too far from most things and has a gas station literally steps away from the complex
Service requests are solved very fast and the vendor is nice, but apartment was extremely dirty on move in. Bathroom was stained all over, there was dust everywhere, cobwebs on every corne, etc. They didn’t even do the bare minimum on cleaning.
I have been living here for the past 5 years, so far everything has been pretty good. The staff are super friendly, they often have activities for the residents and is fun.
I've had a great experience living at Bay Colony! The community is always clean, well-maintained, and feels safe. The staff is friendly, responsive, and helpful whenever I have questions or maintenance requests.

Bay Colony is far from meeting basic living standards. Residents are dealing with issues like rats, roaches, and mold in their apartments. Fire extinguishers, which should be a standard safety feature, are not being provided. This place is a ticking time bomb for accidents or serious injuries. Power and water outages are common, and the front office staff seem unmotivated, often taking longer lunch breaks than allowed. They rarely answer calls, and maintenance requests are frequently ignored. The windows lack proper insulation, leading to a mass exodus of tenants who can't stand the poor conditions. With rent ranging from $873 to $1200, you can definitely find better options elsewhere. Don't be misled by the photos they post; nothing has been updated since the 80s.

The building you reside in has an active sprinkler system monitoring each individual apartment; in addition, there are extinguishers located in the breezeway inside the marked fire boxes. Our office staff is always motivated and happy to help our prospects and residents alike; taking tours of the renovated model and move in ready homes, answering calls, returning calls & emails. Our maintenance professionals complete work orders promptly in the order in which they are received; while attending to emergency maintenance issues 24/7. We do not show any work orders open for your home, please contact the office if you are needing assistance with an issue. We offer extended office hours of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30am - 5:30pm; Wednesday from 10:00am - 5:30pm additionally Saturday from 10am - 4pm to better assist everyone's schedules. Great! I have had no complications & when something needs to be fixed or done it’s done quickly. As far as the move in process they have made everything smooth & simple. They also had no problem answering the million one questions I have had with no issues.
I’m almost 2 years in this beautiful community. The neighbors are nice and friendly. I do see me living here for more time. The management and staff are always there for you and they never mind to help you when needed. I’m so grateful that I found this community.
I’ve been here for almost 9 years. The staff is wonderful and maintenance, when needed, is never difficult to get. The surrounding area is far enough away from downtown, not to be worrisome
The apartments are O.K. to us at best. My husband and I moved in and instantly we found issues with bugs and of course; neighbors. The apartment complex doesn't do much to try and handle the noise complaints we put in and it got very frustrating. There is also a lot of trash everywhere and people let their dogs poop everywhere and no one does anything about it. No cameras either. Overall, we won't be renewing our lease.

Pest Control comes to the property every Wednesday to handle any and all issues, please call the office and we will be happy to put in a work order for treatment. I am sorry to hear about the issues with your neighbors and noise complaints. We do our very best to handle any and all complaints made when they are brought to our attention. Killeen Police Department does handle all after hours noise complaints on their non-emergency line. Your frustration with dogs defecating is shared and felt by all due from the non-responsible pet owners and people throwing their trash about. I do assure you, our staff walks the property twice a day picking up trash and we pick up pet waste as often as possible. My husband and I moved in earlier this year with great hopes for Bay Colony. Slowly, I've noticed things that really bother me. First of all, they have an issue with roaches. The frustrating thing is, there is actually a pest fee tacked on to your monthly rent payment. It's only a couple of dollars, but money is money. I wouldn't even mind paying a few more bucks if I could be sure our home would be pest free. Second, we've called maintenance three times since we moved here. Two out of three of those times, our issues were taken care of in a timely manner. However, the second time we called no one ever showed up. I was told someone would be out within a week, but I guess because it wasn't an emergency, they swept it under the rug hoping we'd forget. We are paying customers, and someone should've responded to our needs, no matter how small the issue. Third, my biggest issue with them thus far, was an incident when I tried to pay my rent online. I usually brought in a money order, (NEVER being late) but that gets old pretty quickly. So I decided to take advantage of their online system. They charged me a $15 service fee for that. Then, I received a text from them letting me know I was late on my rent. When I checked online, there was no proof I had paid at all. If I hadn't noticed that they had my credit card information on file, I would've thought that I had forgotten to pay or I had made a mistake. I knew that I had paid, but couldn't prove it. When I called the front desk, the girl was sympathetic with me, but I was still required to pay the late charges ($60). I understand that I was late on my rent, and it's stated in my lease that there is a late fee, however, I was only late due to their online system and I feel that after our loyal services and never being late before, this should've been waved. However, I'm almost positive that management sincerely does not take their tenants opinions to heart. If this many people are complaining about key issues, you need to start working on them or continue to have a questionable reputation. There are a few pros, I'll admit. The staff is friendly, and I do feel that they try their best. (I can't say the same for management). The people living here are quiet and friendly. The dog parks, though small, are a plus. All I can say is, this isn't a long-term option for us.

The staff is friendly and very professional. Newly renovated apartments and facilities, also they are still doing more renovations. Maintenance is quick and professional as well and they get to your work orders in a quick and timely manner. Would truly recommend this apartment complex and staff to anyone moving to the killeen area.

From day one I loved this apartment complex. There has been one moment when I thought I didn't like the place but I can't really say anything bad about it. I love this place. It's quiet and no one bothers anyone... Great place.
