Having a in-unit washer and dryer was one of the big reasons we got this apartment but we haven’t been able to use it since it was broken from the day we moved in.

Avana Almaden is a great property located close to everything here in South San Jose. It’s a very homey place, the Leasing Office and Service Team are ALL knowledgeable and so their job at all cost. We are completely satisfied with living here and are very pleased with the work being done.

Grey star I lived in your apartments in Huntington, called Lucé, (one of the best places I have ever lived) I had high hopes with your name being attached Avana Almaden. It made me believe it was gonna be such a postive experience unfortunately I cannot say it has been. With mold problems, the apartment smelling like cigarettes despite their no smoking policy, pest issues over and over, solicitors walking around or knocking on my door, trying to sell me something, messy neighbors that leave trash where ever they please… this place is a walking disaster. You can tell management only cares about the money and others don’t respect people’s space. I’d rather move out of state than live here and i lived in California my whole life.

We have lived at Avana Almaden for a little over 3 months now. We love it here. It's quiet, people are friendly, love all the amenities, it's so convenient to everything and access to the freeway is just as convenient.

The only reason that I am patient, because first I love my apartment, two I am very clean, but god forbid if something happened in our apartment no one will reply, even if they reply they will say, there’s nothing we can do at the moment.

Avana Almaden is a warm community of residents who enjoy quality living with their pets. The grounds are well maintained with many paths to walk our pups. The apartments are equipped nicely and with good floor plans. Large pool and other amenities to make us happy.

I recently became a resident at Avana Almaden Apartments and I must say, this was the easiest process I’ve ever had moving. The property is well maintained and the staff is very helpful and informative. Move in day and getting the keys to our new apartment was handled quickly, allowing our movers to get their job done in a timely fashion. We had a few must haves on our list and Avana met them all and then some. Thank you staff for your service and professionalism!!!

Avana Almaden is a great place to live in. It is very close to many commodities that make life easy to manage. Being close to work and having prompt management were high priorities in choosing an apartment. For all the prompt staff, closeness to many areas in San Jose, and great price really make this place a star for apartments within San Jose.

This is not a community, although the company would like it to appear so. On-site management is ineffective/unconcerned, rents are way too high, and security is a concern.

We’ve only been here 2 weeks but this is our second complex managed by Greystar! The Avana is awesome, prompt with maintenance, safe, and easily accessible with tons of off street parking. We highly recommend any apartment, especially the Avana Almaden, thats ran by Greystar!

Old dryer that takes 3-5 cycles to dry a small load of laundry. They refuse to update it because it still gets “warm”. High energy use, low heat, high energy costs. A new dryer would cost them less than half of what we already pay them in rent.

The rule of thumb at avana Almaden quoted from the manager if it's not a fire, flood, or blood you're on your own. Renters insurance and your own security measures of your vehicle and residents is renters responsibility and nothing to very little is done.

Making a country shift is challenging. The Management here made the transition super easy for us from virtual tour to all the paper work was done online and we could directly shift to our home on the day of move. House was properly cleaned. Maintenance is just a request away. It’s pet friendly, greenery around, lovely neighbours, amazing location, pool n gym. What else is needed…I am loving it here!!

This community has insects, specially cockroaches . I notified the management 3 times and they asked pest control to come but still we can see a lot in the parking lots and coming to the units too . This poses a health hazards and unsanitary .

We have been told the insects outside in the parking lots are not cockroaches, but insects that are native to the surroundings. Avana Almaden provides a convenient location and parklike setting. Besides an easy application process, it also made moving with a husky german shepherd mix convenient (anyone with either of those breeds knows the struggle in finding a home).

Yes is a beautiful apartment community to live in. It has great amenities such as two pools, gym, garage parking, Amazon locker hub that provides safety when I have a package delivered, and the staff are very responsive to any maintenance concerns. Plus it is walkable distance to many stores such as target, Best Buy, Walmart, fast food restaurants, and etc. It is also very dog friendly!

Do not move here! They do not maintain the apartments beyond a fresh coat of paint and routine cleaning. There are serious issues here that have obviously been ignored for a long time. Save yourself the time, stress, and money, and look elsewhere.

Beautiful community, well maintained, great amenities, very quiete and friendly neighborhoods, and cleaned. Also its great they accept dogs
