The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at AVA Somerville
Pros: Great location. Assembly is nice area and is growing. Easy access to boston, particularly when the orange line is working. Maintenance staff is great and super friendly. Cons: 1. There is NO cell service in Assembly, especially this apartment complex. Zero. With Verizon and T Mobile. 2. Furnishings are not very nice. Countertops glued on and peel off. 3. You can hear your neighbors 24/7 - less bad if your'e on top floor. 4. You can hear people outside 24/7, the windows do not block sound well at all 5. The garage has broken speed bumps that will damage your car UPDATE: they fixed this upon reaching out to me after posting this review - not after reaching out via email, though. 6. Electric fobs to enter your personal apartment can be unreliable - I’ve been locked out more than once because the battery on my door died. 7. Management is rude when you email them. 8. They increase price of services (e.g. parking) and don't tell you until several months later. Read your bills carefully here. 9. There is mold in the walls here.
When I moved to Boston, I never thought I'd be able to find a building with all of the amenities I wanted at a reasonable price. Less than 1% of the buildings here have central air and an in-unit washer and dryer, so the odds were certainly not in my favor. Ava Somerville managed to impress me with it's youth appeal, professionalism, amenities, and competitive pricing, too. After moving in, the staff, Kori especially, has proved exceptionally helpful in making sure I have everything I need and that any maintenance requests are completely in a timely and professional manner. Choosing Ava Somerville was the best decision I could've made and I don't regret it for a second.
