Whatever issue I could ever have at the Ashlawn is taken care of with ease by David and Michelle in the management office. Joe with maintenance is also so great!
Not even 24 hours after collecting the keys to my apartment, I counted ten roaches crawling in my space. As a first time renter this is a huge disappointment. I will say the management had an amazingly smooth application process and excellent communication but even after an initial deep cleaning and self pest treatment I come to move the first of my belongings in and am met with roaches crawling all over my space. Management says they treat for pests but upon moving into a newly renovated unit my first experience is insects. I will now have to spend more money in an attempt to rid my space of these pests. Very disappointed, had I known there was a problem I wouldn’t have selected this place as my first apartment. Huge let down.
Don't move here it is so nasty. Ac doesn't work. 90 degree . Mold in bathrooms and vents. Power outages and high utilities. Unresponsive maintenances and management is neglectful.
I couldn’t have picked a better place to live when I decided to relocate to the Virginia area. Ashlawn Towers has all of the amenities you could ever want in an apartment home. The property is conveniently located a few miles from downtown DC. There are tons of stores and shops nearby. The leasing office staff is always kind and courteous. The property is safe, clean, and well-maintained. I can’t imagine moving until I’m ready to purchase my first home.
I was skeptical renting here after seeing some of the old reviews, but I've got to say that I have been pleasantly surprised. The management team are prompt and professional with requests and the units & common areas are well-maintained. You can tell there is pride-of-ownership from the leasing and maintenance team, all the way up to upper level management. I would highly recommend this place!

I have lived at Ashlawn for the past three years. I have to say it is one of my best experience as a resident. Besides the convenience of the location, management team like Kristina has proven to be reliable and honest in dealing with me. Personally I would love to take this opportunity to thank Kristina for listening to my concerns and provided me with solutions that exceeded my needs. Thank you Kristina for your outstanding service!
I will miss the excellent view, solid concrete building (no noise from neighbors), the extremely convenient metrobus and Alexandria transit service (around the clock and a variety of metro rail stations), nice residents and staff, and the most affordable place for a working person (office downtown) in the whole region.
I really enjoy residing at The Ashlawn its very quiet and conveniently near the bus line making it super easy to travel to work and other places, the staff is also very friendly Kristina who works inside the Rental office was so kind and patient helping me through the Rental assistance program. I can’t imagine calling any other place Home.
