Not impressed

I regret renting here. The apartment is okay but at move in floors were dirty, fridge didn’t work (I had to throw all my food away after 2 days to get it fixed), and I’m not sure the carpet was steam cleaned. If it was, there are stains that remain and carpet looks worn. You can definitely hear all the neighbors. The Olympics happen every night between 7pm-9pm at the apartment above me. Trash smell and spills outside the front door.

Appalling Lack of Security

I am utterly dismayed by the complete lack of security in this community. My car was stolen right under the nose of supposed security measures, leaving me in absolute shock and frustration. Despite the promises of a safe environment, I found myself a victim of crime within these premises. The incident has not only caused immense inconvenience but also shattered my trust in the security measures advertised here. The response from the community management has been slow and unhelpful, leaving me feeling completely unsupported during this difficult time. I strongly advise anyone considering this community to think twice about their safety and the safety of their belongings. It's deeply disappointing that I have to experience such a violation of my personal property within a place that should provide a sense of security and peace.

Additionally, poor parking

I lived at Ascent at Mallard Creek for 16 months 9/2019 - 2/2021. Although the staff is mostly pleasant to work with and the ground are adequately maintained, be aware of the following: 1. Hard to get a staff member on the phone, if you have a need you’ll need to physically go to the office. 2. Some neighbors have dogs that bark literally all day, so if you work from home, have headphones. 3. If your are a late sleeper, good luck. Some neighbors (particularly one Mustang) have loud cars that they start up early and rev the engine continuously as to assure all are awake. 4. MOST IMPORTANT, makes sure to thoroughly clean your apartment before you move out, seriously DEEP CLEAN. I was charged several unjustified fees upon leaving, specifically a cleaning fee. Mind you nothing was out of the ordinary. Also don’t use the stove top, if you scratch it, they’ll charge you, so I hope you like microwaveable food.

Inconsistent Office Staff

I am a current resident at the Ascent Mallard Creek. In just two short weeks I am looking forward to moving out. My issues with this complex over the last year haven’t been extreme, but there are definitely areas for improvement. The office staff is usually friendly, but they lack consistency and responsiveness when addressing tenant concerns. When there are issues that arise (ex. consistent leak in bathroom ceiling, broken garage door, answers to simple questions, etc) you often have to call several times, go by the leasing office and/or email to follow to get answers or additional information. The apartments are new, and look good. However, you can hear your neighbors clearly and there is limited parking. As I plan my move, I wish that I had a better experience living here and just wanted to share my experience as it may help someone else that is hoping to move into a place with responsive office staff and quality features.
