Property Ratings at Argosy at Crestview
Argosy is a really nice complex. We've had very few problems since moving here and enjoy it quite a bit. It's a quiet complex in a park-like setting with large trees. Even during the summers, you only get a few parties. There are not very many kids or college students in the complex. We live near the pool, and the sound levels never get so loud that it's a problem. The management and maintenance staff are pleasant people who have handled maintenance issues quickly. We have the A2 apartment which feels surprisingly roomy for the price in Austin. The complex is also very close to Crestview station which has a connection to the rail and bus routes to downtown if you ever need to use it. The complex is dog-friendly. There are several stations with bags and trash containers to use around the complex. There are also two dog parks on the property. We've really enjoyed living here.
I am so happy to have moved away. I moved there in 2020 and moved away. Price went up 50% and trashiness has gone up 500%. they have to close the pool pretty often because straight up garbage people go there. It's a loud toilet. The apartments are crummy. Homeless people camp in the parking lot. Your car will get broken into there. This is not to even mentioning the CONSTANT leaf blowing. multiple times a day. This place is so lousy with leafblowers. Its not just the noise and fumes, they blow dirt all over your car. Oh and if you currently live there, don't bother cleaning your carpet. They will charge you for it when you move. This is the worst place I've ever lived. DO NOT LIVE HERE.

I found black mold and all they did was paint over it. No expert was hired. I told them I didn’t feel well and they said I need to finish out the lease.
Horrible Property Management - Since COVID they have change managers three times! I can't get a hold of them. Our washing machines and dryers are about 30 years old and when I ask them about replacing them, they always direct me to the third company. I asked the third company and they said its up to property management. I've seen them replace curbs and continuously work on watering system but they can't address the washers. There are many broken ac units throughout the complex that have been sitting around for the past three years. This was brought up to them and ignored. Recently Argosy was sold to another company but I can't get a hold of them. I was told to meet an employee at 1pm on Sunday. I waited 20 minutes outside in the rain, and no one was even at work. Hours are 1-5 on Sunday. Oh and did I mention how one of the maintenance men sexually harassed a tree trimmer in front of me - saying he was going to take him to the restroom and made a thrusting motion. * I don't want to be completely negative - I love the landscaping. There's a community of diverse people. My dog and I enjoy the astroturf pet area. The location is great. My apt is cozy and considered to be my home. I've just signed my fourth lease. The two older maintenance gentlemen are wonderful and very professional. Work orders are typically completed the same day. TRAVIS, a temp worker that is onsite helping management - what a god-send! He is the most helpful, responsive member of the team. I am so thankful he is onsite this week to help. This is the most communication I have received in months! He even had some reasoning behind the issues. He is truly great at his job. I would love to have him permanently at this complex. Very pleasant.
I had an overall positive experience after a year of living at Argosy. The interiors are pretty decently renovated considering how old the buildings are. Definitely your average "you get what you pay for" kind of place. I would recommend this place to someone looking for an affordable temporary spot with a convenient location. *Pros: -Fairly affordable for the convenient location -Plenty of surface parking spots -Pet friendly -Maintenance responds quickly -No pest infestations in my unit -Current staff is friendly -Flexible lease lengths *Cons: -Walls are very thin (can hear person above clearly) -Creaky floor -Tinted window net in room blocks sunlight, causing it to be extremely dark (I have to open the light in my room even in the daytime) -No ceiling light or fan in the room -Amenities are subpar
Guess a lot has changed since last year according to only prior review ... Been here 6 weeks now and no complaints so far. Haven't seen any insects inside. Neighbors are nice and mind their own business. Management (Donna) was excellent during move in but have not had need to contact them since. Plenty of parking. Clean and safe. Nice pool, exercise, & grilling areas.
Worse apartment complex ever! Front office staff (Nichole) is very rude and disrespectful she acts like she owns the complex and makes her own rules. I've asked them multiple times to fixes several issues and nothing has been done not days but months! If you love roaches then Argosy at Crestview are for you! This place deserves NO STARS!
