I’ve had a great experience living here so far. The community is clean, quiet, and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and responsive whenever I have questions or service requests. Definitely recommend!

One of the more affordable apartments in downtown Portland. Prime location of you’re looking to be close to restaurants, clubs, and other establishments. Amara could use better amenities, offerings for tenants, and better cleaning.

Solid. Would recommend! Central location near public transit.. Coffee shops! Pho, book stores, shopping, etc. I mean the area is pretty - Friendly staff.

Apartment is pretty decent itself, just a little too small for me. I don’t like that my window doesn’t open all the way for fresh air. Also during the cold months, cool air seals through the AC unit and I can’t block it.

I love living here. The staff are friendly and its a very classy building. They have good reactions to requedts and issues The maintenance is also top notch

Still having a wonderful time living here. Haven’t had any negative experiences at all. I’m always meeting new people in the elevators or the mail room and they’re all very kind. Glad to live here

Great location. Friendly staff. Kept really clean! The move-in was smooth and very accommodating. Can’t wait to get settled in and make it a home.

It’s a decent building. Apartment itself is pretty nice except it’s so cold this time of year cause the window ac/heater unit blows in cold air and there is no way to close the vent. Wish the building had a car charger as well, but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen anytime soon.

I love living here at Amara. The management here is very good and considerate to the residents. I hope to renew my lease next year. I've been here 2 years now.

The apartments are very clean, well maintained and in a good location. Having parking on site, as well as a very friendly and helpful management and maintance staff is a huge plus!

We love the apartment and the staff. The location is great, the apartment is really nice, and the staff is really friendly and helpful! We haven't lived here for very long but the staff has worked hard to resolve any issues we've had.

The apartment building is very nice. The staff is very polite. The amenities are perfect and I love the gym and the rooftop. The location is perfect as well and rent is cheap.

Seamless move in and welcoming environment. One of the best apartments with amenities I’ve experienced. The manager is courteous and informative.

Recently moved into Amara and its been a great experience thus far. Emerson was very helpful from application-to-move-in day! Proximity to grocery stores, restaurants, and local businesses, etc. is phenomenal.

Nice place to live, great building with nice amenities, but don’t like the sheer window treatments as it lets light in and makes it hard to sleep in the morning. I don’t like the fact that I can only open one window 1/4 way in. It doesn’t help with air circulation or let in much fresh air. Also wish they had car chargers for my plug-in hybrid. All in all, I’m pretty satisfied.

Move in and first week was smooth. Staff was helpful and friendly so the transitions was easy. excited for what’s to come in the future and events that are held.

There’s a lot to admire about Amara and the neighborhood. Continuous improvements will help to make the apartment complex for everyone. Better security, better maintenance of shared areas, and better care of outside areas to eliminate the smell and flies.

Great apartment with nice amenities. Bedrooms are bit on the small side. The staff is great and super nice. I look forward to getting involved with the apartment events.

Great amenities are great and the grounds are so clean. I spend a lot of time out on the rooftop soaking in the amazing views. The office managers are on top of things and everyone on staff is really nice/

Really have enjoyed my time at Amara since moving here. Justin is always helpful on the rare occasions if I need assistance. Clean and well maintained, I have yet to ever put in a work order after almost 2 years. Being realistic about living in the city, I appreciate the level of communication, responsiveness, and clarity throughout the community from the office. Amara offers all the modern comforts to enjoy the times spent at home. The location has much to offer and convenient for walkability.

Lot goes on but it’s an enjoyable place. Near anywhere you need to go in downtown within 5 minutes walking. Every month pearl district seems to get safer and having more events for local fun.

I love our new home I love the local businesses around and eatery’s and the fact they keep the park clear for my kids to play and be safe the Amara is beautiful

The mail room seems to get broken into often. You literally can not walk across the street to get food at the stands without tripping over homeless drug addicts. It's terrifying to live here. Period.

I have enjoyed staying at the Amara for the most part. My apartment truly feels like home and I love the amenities available to residents. However, I think that Amara can do more to ensure that the building doesn't get broken into and that our packages remain safe.

I have loved my time at Amara. Using the gym is my favorite amenity because of the variety of equipment and 24/7 access! The rooftop is also a great place to take in the sights.

Amara is a great place to live in downtown Portland. One of thing I'm waiting for is a good window cleaning. My windows are marked with 6 month old bird droppings from last December.

So far so good. Moved in a couple of days ago. Everything went smoothly. The place is in good shape and can't wait to start trying out all the amenities.

Living here has been a great experience. A great location and the building stays well maintained. Other residents have been very kind as well and the building handles any minor issues promptly and efficiently.

Amara is a great community of students, young professionals, and like-minded city dwellers. Within walking distance to many amazing restaurants in the Pearl District, Powell's bookstore, Whole Foods, and World Foods, the location is prime for exploring all Portland has to offer. Downtown and the NW and SE districts are a short drive or walk as well. I highly recommend Amara Apartments for anyone looking to rent in the heart of the city for its affordability, amenities including a rooftop and gym, and friendly residents.

Wonderful apartment. All the staffs are very kind and attentive. I enjoy living here. Walking distance to most places in downtown. There is very nice rooftop during the summer time.

Great place to live. Most of the time it is quiet and the building has some great amenities. Only issues that I have had is the garage door has been broken at least four times over my time here. This has been quite frustrating two out of the four times as the garage door was out of service for over a day or two which meant you could not move your car out of the garage. Another issue is the homeless population and garbage surrounding the building and entrances. I guess that comes with living downtown Portland, but I found it to be an issue all of the time. Most of the time it wouldn't be cleaned up or when you would report on it, the issue would only be resolved for a short time before it went back to a mess. Lastly, the only issue I had was the building smells of weed most of the time. I was happy that this place is a smoke free renting place, but it has been ignored by the community of residents. Overall this place is a great place to call home for myself and my pet.

I love the community here at Amara! Everyone is so welcoming, and seeing everyone's pets in the building brightens my day. It feels like home here and I love being walking distance to the Pearl District and downtown. So glad I moved to Amara.
