The dramatically beautiful eastern edge of Washington County showcases a laid-back way of life. Charming, historic Stillwater, surrounded by complementary smaller communities including Oak Park Heights, Bayport, and Marine on St. Croix, becomes one of the state's most appealing tourist destinations on summer weekends, during fall leaf-peeping season and when winter holiday decorations turn the vintage business district into a wonderland, complete with horse-drawn carriages. Located 30 minutes directly east of the Twin Cities, Washington Far Eastern Suburbs is a popular bedroom community with easy access to major highways like I-94.
With its location along the St. Croix River, an apartment in Washington Far Eastern Suburbs offers scenic views and plenty of parks and green spaces to explore. Whether it's an afternoon picnic at Pioneer Park or hiking the 5.9-mile Brown's Creek State Trail along the river, the area's natural beauty is ideal for a variety of outdoor adventures.

Property Ratings at Alpine Apartments
I am a current resident and have lived here for about 10 years. The rent is low so i can pay off my student loans and still live in a nice place. It's clean, allows pets, security doors, quite, parking lot, friendly neighbors (who jave become friends) close to the lake and downtown forest lake restaurants, bars and activities. I would recommend this place to friends and family members.
Property Manager at Alpine Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thanks for the wonderful review! Happy to have you as a resident!
Good luck getting in touch with the management. Things are fixed in a timely manner but have been told by neighbors that things have gone missing. It is in the lease you are NOT allowed recording devices in apartment. Find that rather strange. The cleaning lady never shovels or deices in the winter, numerous people have fallen walking to vehicle. I have slipped many times myself. She is also very nosy and watches people's every move. With that noted she has a key to every apartment in the building. Would NOT recommend moving here. Roof leaks and black mold thru out building.
This apartment building is close to the beach and many local parks. The building is quite and there is really no issues with crime. The building itself is a little dated but the newly renovated apartments are pretty nice. There are some apartments that still are in need of renovation however. The Laundry room is small and shared between all units so at times you have to wait on the weekends to do laundry. The biggest issue I have had as a long time current renter is with the management. In the past they have not been friendly or easy to work with. The new manager Sarah Jo however seems nice and was quick to respond back to an rental issue that I had. I am hopeful that she will stick around. Unfortunately managers have come and gone rather quickly at this location in the past.
Dumpy apartments, terrible management and a slumlord building manager. Entire building stinks of weed and building managers do nothing about it...Do not rent here if you value your money and/or safety.
Very, very outdated and dirty throughout. Moldy windows that are falling apart. Bugs and moles due to no pest control. Lived thete for 4 yrs...could go in and on. Not a healthy living environment.
