Property Ratings at The Alexander
There is too muc disconnect between the front office people and the residents. Emails don't always get replied to. That AI thingie is making the disconnect worse. The front office people do not seem to value the residents as people. When the indoors pool hasn't operated properly for 9 months now, we should be given a discount on the rent for all these months. The parking spots lines are hard to see in many areas of the garage. It would help to repaint them. The water is being shut off too often and the announced intervals are too long.
The new administration are wonderful. My household had an income adjustment due to my wife starting a new job and there were some hiccups during the transition, while the previous administration will have been processing an eviction notice by now, the new administration was patient and empathetic during this process, finally our finances were back on track and we were able to catch up...we appreciate you Ruth, Mary and Mrs. Hernandez...thank you.
No accountability. No response. Lost property and packages. Lived here for 5 years before the new management and it has taken a cliffdive immediately with the new ownership. Do not recommend in any sense.
We loved the previous company who were there for our stay for 2.5 of the 3 years! We were so sad to see the crew go. Hopefully we'll see the same kindness and less robotic responses from the new team :/
Overall, great place to live with great amenities, the pipes banging all the time is rather annoying. The parking is great and the fob entry is great.

I moved in 4 months ago and am still getting settled. But I am enjoying the environment. The maintenance crew is outstanding and the ladies in the office are great! My only complaint right now is the pigeons. I just put flowers and plants on my balcony and they seem to love them as much as I do! Shoo!
Everything here is really good—we truly enjoy all the amenities provided. The clubhouse is our favorite spot; whenever we're stressed, playing pool with friends helps us relax a lot. I also really like the gym and use it often. However, the one challenge we face is having to walk to the bus stop, especially during the cold and windy winter months. Aside from that, I genuinely love living here and appreciate all that’s offered.
Way over priced for what you get and this place got new management. They are struggling for sure.
I have lived here for 2 years and have no complaints . Maintenance when needed is super quick . The office staff have always been helpful and pleasant .
You can have a very comfortable stay. If you have any problems, they respond quickly. The managers are also very kind. I recommend living here.

At the Alexander at Patroon Creek in Albany, NY, the fire alarm system is abusive and causes unnecessary inconvenience to the point that most residents do not evacuate the buildings, which pretty much defeats the whole purpose. It is abusive because the decibel level too high and it is also continuous, continuing for over an hour at a time, disrupting the ability to concentrate on anything else, such as reading a book or watching television or the preparation of a meal or entertainment at dinner parties or showering before important appointments or other routines that residents may consider essential to daily living. Except for a few occasions, most of these fire alarms have been FALSE alarms, and there was never any danger to begin with, making clear how much unnecessary abuse and inconvenience has been inflicted on residents simply because of an incompetently engineered and administered system that is supposed to be in the best interests of residents.
Really good. Moving in was easy. There was just one hiccup but it was sorted out right away. I feel at home here already. Looking forward to my time here.
Great place to live! A little noisy but ok altogether... Nice porch setting and exterior. Interior of my apartment is pretty neat but there seems to be a plethora of vents...not sure why?
Is a beautiful place and is quite and peaceful. The people in the place was very friendly and the show us the rooms that were available and were able to move in quickly
Overall Pretty good so far. Review will progress with time and the experience at the complex. Seems like maintenance requests take a little too long so far.

I have lived here for almost 2 years and plan on renewing my lease again. The office staff is always pleasant and helpful . Maintenance Issues are promptly completed .
So far Noisy neighbors arguing. The floors/walls do not have adequate insulation to block noise from other units. Issues with appliance and outlets.
My husband and I absolutely love our new apartment!! It has everything we wanted and more. The bathroom is spacious and the tub is the biggest that I’ve ever seen!! The kitchen is stunning and the living room and bedroom both feel much larger than they are.
The staff at this apartment complex are incredibly friendly and helpful. However, the bees on the clubhouse porch are a real nuisance and should be exterminated. Additionally, the clubhouse could use a thorough deep cleaning to make it more inviting for residents. Overall, a great place to live with a few improvements needed. The ceiling fans are lovely.

Just recently moved in. Haven’t had any issues, I love the building so far. I favorite part is the monthly events they have for the residents.
Thanks to the cooperative manager, the move-in process went smoothly. It's a very comfortable place to live. Covered shared parking is available on all floors (except the top floor).

The place has been amazing since I step foot into my apartments. The two ladies in the leasing office are very kind and enthusiastic with their jobs making things easy for us the residents.
Love it here. Apartments are beautiful, staff is friendly and welcoming, and the rental process was quick and painless. Love the pool, the coffee machine in the clubhouse, and the covered garage parking!

Good experience so far. It’s an older complex, toilet does not flush well, but I have no complaints. Nice play room for kids, nice indoor and outdoor pool, decent gym. Ceilings are thin so you are constantly hearing footsteps from above. I have been living here for a few days. Will give another review after 6 months.
This is a great community. The apartments and the amenities are well maintained. It is close to the university as well. The only drawback is that it not walkable to anything. However, it is next to a highway and if you have a car, very accessible to all major shopping centers.
Everyone in the office is welcoming and responsive. Really makes me think I made the right choice on choosing here. Everyone’s respectful as well.
Thus far, my experience has been pretty good. The staff have been nice/helpful. During my transition, Nicole and other staff members provided all of the information that I needed. My only concern has been getting signed in with Community Rewards. I shared that I never received access and had to follow up to get signed on. That issue has been resolved.
The move in was seamless and easy. The staff have all been helpful! The amenities are plentiful and the residents have all been very nice so far.
I’ve only started living here almost a month now and I’ve had such a great experience so far. I love the amenities that the Alexander has to offer and I love the community here. Everyone is so nice and polite. And all my neighbors up, down, right, and left are all quiet too. I’m not sure if it’s the thick walls or the neighbors. But it’s always nice and quiet here and I love it.

Great, except the room upgrade is under maintenance. My apartment is facing the Washington ave so during the day, it is a bit noisy. I bought a big jar of ear plugs. However, the rest is perfect. Cannot wait to move furnitures in it.

Living at the Alexander at Patroon Creek has been a pleasant experience so far. My apartment is satisfactory and I find the community to be quiet but interesting to live in. Additionally, I found the amenities here to be basically as advertised and I am happy to live here so far.
I’ve lived in the Alexander for almost four years. Overall it has been a good experience. The office staff and maintenance team are very attentive. The location is great, as it is near highway and shopping.
Apartments are nice. We do not enjoy the lease rates differing depending on the time of the year, however, the amenities are great and neighbors are friendly.
This is definitely the nicest apartment I’ve lived in. Kind of pricy but definitely worth it for the updated appliances and amenities. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Amazon Hub is very convenient for getting packages delivered.
I think that the apartment building itself is old. But, they do the maintenance of facility very well. Leasing manager and staff are very friendly.
