Memorial is a lush, leafy neighborhood about 10 miles west of Downtown Houston. The area is considered to be one of the best suburbs in H-town with its easy access to top-performing schools and plentiful amenities. Memorial is known for its variety of architectural styles. You’ll find verdant front lawns complementing old Georgian-style homes, bungalows, and cottages along with newly developed townhomes and condominiums throughout the suburb. Memorial gives residents a break from the urban streets of the city with admirable parks in and around the neighborhood. Edith L Moore Nature Sanctuary is great for relaxing hikes and wildlife sightings across 18 acres of land. Although some parts of the neighborhood feel like you’re immersed in the forest, you’re quickly reminded that Memorial is a classic suburban area with its wide range of amenities. There are plenty of shopping and dining options within Memorial and in neighboring communities.

About the Listing Agent
Angelina Keck
Angelina Keck Properties
In January 2024, Angelina celebrated her 20th year in real estate! Her journey began unexpectedly in 2004 when she inherited several rental properties after her mother's passing, becoming what she humorously calls an "unintentional landlord." Dissatisfied with the service provided by leasing agents, Angelina decided to take matters into her own hands and started taking real estate classes. By January 2006, she was a licensed Realtor with plans to only manage her rental properties but her warm demeanor and charisma propelled her to leave her full-time sales job and focus on real estate full time. “I can’t believe it's been 20 years”, she admits, “and I have seen it all but it is still something new every day!” Angelina reminds us it's still a “seller's market” in our area even with elevated mortgage rates. She explains “With higher costs to rent, many renters have decided to buy instead of rent and build equity and in doing so they protect themselves from being priced out of the market in the future. Other buyers have decided it is better to buy now with a higher interest rate but with today’s sales price instead of overpaying for a home later due to increased buyer competition in the summer months or when rates drop.” Angelina adds, “There are even lenders that are offering no-cost refinances later when you use them as your lender now”. Angelina recommends that sellers consider listing their homes sooner rather than later if it makes sense. She explains that each situation is different but sellers may have fewer competing listings right now if they list before the summer. Angelina declares “Early spring buyers are motivated buyers!” Sellers and buyers both need a Realtor with decades of wisdom and insight to formulate the best game plan. Along with her Broker’s license, attained in 2016, Angelina offers her clients ingenuity, diligence, and the wisdom that comes with almost 400 successful transactions. She skillfully navigates the most complex transactions such as relocation, divorce, and probate. Drawing from her bachelor’s degree in psychology and background in sales, she caters to her client's unique needs. Remaining abreast of evolving trends and technology, Angelina is a member of HAR.com’s MLS Advisory Committee which underscores her dedication to enhancing industry standards for the benefit of agents and consumers alike. Beyond real estate, Angelina loves volunteering, supporting her children's activities, and planning fun activities for her friends and clients. Recognized for her numerous community contributions, she received the SBISD 2023 Good Neighbor Award.
