About This Home
Bright and cheerful, just-renovated 3-bedroom, 1-bath home on a quiet street in Amherst. Two miles to Hampshire College, four miles to Amherst Center/Amherst College, and five miles to UMass. Wood floors, granite counters, dishwasher, and clothes washer and dryer. New kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Quiet new ceiling fans in all rooms. One-car garage and additional driveway parking. No pets and no smoking. Perfect for singles, couple, family, or mature housemates. Basement storage available. Available for move-in September 1. We would consider a one or a two-year lease. $2,800 plus utilities. With a spacious back yard, this is a great home for children. We can discuss options for lawn care. The previous owners cultivated a big fenced-in garden with both raised beds and in-ground gardens. You are welcome to tend to this garden if you wish. Absolutely no pets. Please don't contact us to tell us that your pet is different. Thank you.

Academia is not in short supply in Amherst. The town, also nicknamed “Knowledge Corridor,” houses three out of five institutions of the Five College Consortium, including Amherst College, Hampshire College, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. So they really know their stuff here!
Much like the campuses, the city’s downtown area is vibrant and encompassed by a cinema, coffeehouses, diverse restaurants, and bookstores. Amherst Town Common is a large green space along North Pleasant Street, an ideal location for a pick-up Frisbee game or relaxing with a favorite novel under an oak tree. This college town has it all including Emily Dickinson’s childhood home, which is now a museum dedicated to the famous poet and her family.
Being immersed in culture is what makes Amherst a great city. Many conservations are located here, so the area is naturally beautiful year-round. In addition to Hampshire Mall and Interstate 91, locals want you to know how to say the city’s name correctly.
