The apartment is located on the third floor of a 3 story renovated house situated on one of the best streets in New Haven (East Rock area). The other two bedrooms are occupied by Yale affiliates, and other apts. in the building are mostly occupied by Yale graduate students as well. The available room shares a full bathroom with the nearest bedroom. Off street parking is available at no extra cost, coin operated laundry machines are located in the basement and the apartment itself has a living room, kitchen and small dining area. Rent is $625/month plus utilities, which should run about $50/month. The house has a shared porch area that's great for relaxing or studying outside when the weather is nice, and the street view is awesome. Great value for one of the nicest areas in New Haven (almost directly across from Nica's). The room is available either on August 15th or September 1st. One year lease required.

East Rock rests just north of Interstate 91 and just a mile northeast of the center of New Haven. East Rock residents travel down Whitney Avenue for a quick 10 to 15-minute commute to Yale University and Downtown New Haven. Condo rentals are popular in this friendly community, but there’s several apartments communities and single-family homes as well. The town presents opportunities for neighbors to mingle, including the community gardens and weekly Upper State Farm Market. Edgerton Park hosts the popular Shakespeare in the Park series throughout the summer.
