Nestled on the banks of the East River, Williamsburg’s nightlife scene glows just as bright as its art culture. Artists first moved to the area in the 1970s because of its affordability compared to surrounding areas, such as Manhattan. The neighborhood also offers larger homes, and direct access to transportation. In addition, the art community is alive and thriving, with local gallery favorites such as Front Room Gallery and Greenpoint.
To discover whether you should move to Williamsburg, find out what the neighborhood is all about. This area’s energy is unmatched, especially since the neighborhood has become a mecca for the creatives throughout the city. The luxury apartments in Williamsburg are surrounded by exceptional restaurants from authentic takeout to tapas to Michelin-rated fine dining. Longstanding spots like the Brooklyn Brewery have been providing residents with chilled pints since 1988.

Property Ratings at 53 Broadway
The good: amazing Super (incredibly friendly, always available, very responsive, conscientious, goes way above and beyond), nice and helpful doormen, great roof deck, good gym, clean, safe, washer/dryer in unit, new appliances, decent size bedrooms. The bad: some dumb design choices in the apartments (things like some units having *no* drawers in the kitchen), expensive heating and cooling costs, windows don't generally open, stove vent doesn't vent outside.
The apartment is great, has everything you need, dishwasher, washer, dryer, gas oven, fridge and just enough storage space. It's a 450 square foot studio, with a slight alcove, that keeps the sleeping area separated from the kitchen. In addition it has a very small balcony that has a view of downtown Manhattan. The building includes a roofdeck, storage room and gym. As well as daytime doormen and a live-in super, who is amazing and always willing to help with anything. The only downside is the ridiculous ConEd bills, in excess of $150 every month, for a studio. Located on the south side of Williamsburg bridge, the area is great. You are closest to the Marcy Ave JMZ stop. The area is quieter than North Williamsburg, which is a nice break from the business of New York, but within reaching distance. The perfect place for life in New York City, with everything you need, a safe, exciting neighborhood and easy access to Manhattan and the rest of Brooklyn.
