Violators will be reported to police and the contract will be terminated immediately for weapons, firearms, drugs, or illegal sexual activity of any sort. There is a zero-tolerance policy for parties and smoking anywhere on the premises. Following multiple warnings, local law enforcement will be utilized to ensure compliance. Should removal be required, it will be done at the guest's expense. Unapproved late checkout will result in a $50 charge for every hour after the scheduled checkout time. Smoking inside or outside on the patio/balcony, parking lot, or within 50ft of the property is strictly prohibited, as this is a smoke-free community. Any smell noticed by cleaners in the house, and/or any physical evidence of smoking any substance in the home will result in a fine of $300.00 to cover the cost of deep cleaning and ozone treatment. Parties and events are strictly prohibited. Any evidence of a party or event, including camera footage, excessive garbage, or other evidence will result in a fine of $500.00, legal action, and possible eviction without reimbursement, plus the cost of any extra cleaning or damages that result from the event. There is a $250.00 fee for an unauthorized animal/pet. Any evidence of willful or negligent loss or damage to the property, furnishings, decoration, landscaping, towels, linens, or other items will be charged at direct replacement cost plus a fine of up to $300.00. Any evidence of a guest breaking posted house rules, including exceeding the occupancy listed by the guest on the reservation, parking restrictions, pool rules, illegal substances, or use of the property can result in a fine of up to $1000.00 and/or eviction from the property. Check-in details will be sent on the day of check-in. Check out time is 11 am (unless otherwise approved). Neighborhood

The oldest house in Marion County is the Bates-Hendricks House. The Federal-style, brick home was built around 1820 by Richard Keene. In 1851, the home's new owner, Hervey Bates, decided to add on. His addition was built in the Italianate style, complete with a 60-foot tower, giving the home a unique and distinctive look.
