This location is outstanding! You are a block from Farmington Ave and less than a half mile from West Hartford Center. This property is one of the best bargains for being so close to the Center and Blue Back Square. The other very attractive feature is being on the first floor of a two-family house. This is not an apartment building where people are surrounding you and there is minimal privacy. You are one of two units in this charming and quiet two-family house. Lastly, it’s very rare to find one-bedroom apartments in West Hartford (and close to the Center for a reasonable costs). This is a huge one-bedroom, where most one-bedrooms in West Hartford are tight and on the third floor. A better description of this property is more like 1.5 bedrooms. There is another bonus room that could be used as a second bedroom or office. Pulling up to the house you will notice it has a charming front porch that goes with this apartment. Inside there are the original red oak hardwood floors that run throughout the entire apartment. The front of the house is the living room with the bonus room off of this space. The back of the apartment is the kitchen, updated bathroom, and a large bedroom with some built-ins and a good size closet. The house has gas heat with radiators that make it affordable and comfortable during the winter months. The bathroom has a newer fiberglass shower/tub surround and a newer ceramic tile floor and pedestal sink. The kitchen has a wall of cabinets that go up to the high ceilings for good storage. The ceilings here have the original coffered look that adds charm and character to this apartment. There is two parking spaces that would be tandem to each other. There is a washer and dryer included with the rent in the lower level which is conveniently right off the kitchen. There is a newer hot water heater here as well. Again, the location (and the price) is the highlight here. Enjoy a $5 uber ride to the Center or just walk to “The Fly” for the most popular karaoke in town. Public transportation is a block away. Easy commute to downtown Hartford down Farmington Ave. Please keep in mind there is a strict application process that focuses heavily on credit.
