Property Ratings at 502 on Howe
I had to move to 502 for a year in between selling my house and buying a new one and it was a great experience. I was nervous coming from a house, but honestly the washer and dryer were bigger than what I even had at my old and new house haha. All the appliances were brand new and top of the line - It made my transition really easy.
I work in both New Haven and Westport, and this location was great. It's a few minutes from Route 8. If you're looking to live in Shelton but work elsewhere I definitely recommend this location.
I moved from an apartment in the city where I could never EVER get in touch with someone in management if I had an issue or just a question and that is not at ALL the case here, which is so greatly appreciated. I'm in a 1 Bedroom and plan to renew for a 2nd year, it's been great and easy.
I'm still in school so was looking for a studio until I finished, and everywhere I looked the studio's looked nothing like the other apartments in the building and had horrible furnishings. The studio's here have all the same aesthetic as the other apartments, and have a huge washer and dryer. I was planning on looking for a 1 bedroom when I was done but honestly love my little space! So pretty and modern!
I've lived at several other apartment buildings and I always had to wait days/weeks for maintenance issues. They respond right away and any small maintenance issue I've had they send someone right away it's so nice and such a change!
I moved to Shelton from out of state for work for 2 years and I love the location of 502. Being new in the area, I wanted something close to restaurants, bars, grocery stores etc. I met friends in the building and in the area and highly recommend Shelton for out of towners and this complex.
I moved in when the building was built in late 2021 and I loved it here! I'm getting married and bought a house otherwise I would not leave. The location was great and the gym had everything I needed (weights, cardio, & Peleton!).
This was my first apartment after I moved out of my parent's house and the experience was great! I lived in a studio on the 4th floor with a nice view of the valley. The apartment itself modern and super cozy. I also loved the fact that I had a gym, bank, AND a coffee shop onsite!!!
I lived in this apartment for two years, and it was an incredible experience. I lived here while I was waiting to purchase a home in the Shelton area! I loved the location and all of the great food options! What really stood out to me were the building amenities, especially the fitness center and safe/secure parking. The fitness center was well-equipped and made it so easy to stay active without leaving the building. The Peloton bikes were awesome! The secure parking was a huge perk—it gave me peace of mind knowing my car was safe and easily accessible. Can't forget the best coffee in the area downstairs! Common Grounds was always there for a great mid day pick me up! The management team was also very responsive and professional! I'd recommend 502 on Howe to any and all of my friends and family!

The apartment itself is spacious, bright, and well-maintained, with a modern kitchen and bathroom. Building amenities like the fitness center and secure parking were great, and the management team was always responsive and professional. The sense of community was a bonus, with friendly neighbors and great restaurants in the Downtown Shelton area. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming place to live.
I was only here for a year because work is moving me out of state but I had a great experience. I had gated parking and couldn't find anywhere else in the area that had guaranteed parking for every tenant. I never had any issues here and had a great experience overall...sad to leave!
I lived in a studio here for 3 years. Loved the modern look of apartments, and the gym was awesome. Always clean, and top of the line equipment. The butterfly system was super helpful as well.
Perfect place for recent graduates. Apartments and appliances are modern and floor plans are well designed. Maintenance and complex owners are friendly and professional. Never had any problems. Looking forward to resigning my lease!
My wife and I have been renting here a little over two years and it has been a great ride so far. The amenities and building were a big step up from our last place. Management has always been around to fix any issues we might have and the leasing office has been great so far. Highly recommend 502.
I just moved out of this amazing building and I'm already wishing this living situation could be replicated in the new state I'm moving to. I lived here for a year and management was awesome. I could not believe how helpful/responsive they were (as I am not the most handy!) and I'm truly thankful. Thank you!!
My boyfriend and I lived there for 2 years and had a wonderful experience. If we ever had an issue it was dealt with right away and actual apartment was beautiful. Having lived in other apartments, this was so much better especially with responsiveness from staff. Highly recommend!
I lived in a one-bedroom with my partner at 502 Howe for a couple years and moved out a couple of months ago. I wanted to leave this review to give you a heads-up. It's really noisy here—not just the usual apartment stuff. You can hear everything, especially from the apartment above, and the neighbors aren’t considerate at all. If you’re looking for a quiet place where you can actually get some good sleep, I wouldn’t recommend living here. The management seemed great at first but really went downhill after a while. You might want to look for a place where the management is responsive and actually cares.
I’ve lived here for a few years now. At first, management and maintenance were amazing and fast to respond to issues. The last year or so has been a different story. I’m going to leave out some details to remain anonymous but if you have an issue don’t expect management to follow up on it or bring it up when you walk past them in the hallway. If you like smelling marijuana in the hallways, paying high utility bills in the winter because of drafty windows, and hearing your neighbors argue or be intimate because the walls are so thin, and being ignored by management you should apply today!
As a tenant living at 502 since it opened I can only give a rave review on the experience I have had while living here. The leasing office is prompt with responding to any concerns, maintenance is diligent with keeping the property in excellent condition. I love the location and the accessibility to nearby businesses and route 8/34. I find this property to be a great WFH location (extremely quiet) with an added bonus of a coffee shop on the premises.

I lived in 502 for two years and had a great experience. Management was responsive and quick to help. I had some slight issues with the noise which was noted by others. I could often hear my downstairs and upstairs neighbors to the point of hearing conversation. I understand noise is part of apartment living so not a major issue
As someone who has had a streak of disastrous experiences with apartments and their leasing offices, I am thrilled to say my streak has ended. From start to finish this building, and the people who work in it are nothing short of extraordinary. The apartment is not only beautiful, very modern, and the building, so clean, and so full of amenities, but I’ve never seen a leasing office or building staff care so much about the people who live there. Specifically Allie in the leasing office, the entire process of touring to signing the lease was easier than tying your shoe. It wasn’t stressful, chaotic, or stress inducing, it was simply lovely. Move here, move here, and one more thing, MOVE HERE!!!
My husband and I love living here. If it wasn't for having to move back to NY for family obligations I would continue to live here. Everything is so fresh and brand new. Management is fantastic. They fix things right away. I'm going to miss the gym here and living in the cute little downtown next to the river.
Unless you secure a corner unit on the top floor please don’t live here. Every single sound (particularly from above) is unbearable. Believe me, I am not the only tenant who has found this.
I toured 502 and immediately loved the building! Everything is bright and new, and love the design of all the apartments. The granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen are amazing, and the full size washer/dryer is such a huge plus! I was shocked when I saw how big they were in person. I’ve lived here for almost a full year and have no complaints and am so incredibly happy with how quick they respond if there is ever an issue. Management is always extremely helpful and willing to work with you. Love this building!
I recently toured 502 on Howe and had a great experience! I’m moving from out of state and the leasing office personnel answered all my questions, and more. I love the building and the apartments, and assigned parking is a bonus. I spoke to two current tenants who told me they absolutely love living in the building and the area. So I’m convinced and on the waitlist. Cannot wait to move in!
First off, i would like to say the management company is pretty good and i have had absolutely no issues thus far with them. My biggest issue is the noise insulation. I could hear almost everything the neighbor above is doing, from walking to closing doors etc. This would cause disturbances late at night for me and was detrimentally affecting my sleep. Everything else in the apartment is pretty brand new, but the thin terrible walls just doesn’t allow me to give more than 2 stars for this review. Another thing is that even though is a brand new building, the kitchen sink does not have a garbage disposal, which is pretty weird.
