Have your pick of three fully-furnished rooms in a clean and quiet house in Northwest Washington DC's leafy Petworth neighborhood. House is shared by mature-minded college-educated female housemates. You would be one of 4 professional young women sharing the 4 bedroom 2.5 bath main portion of the house. I'm the owner, a former Reuters journalist, and I live in the separate finished basement with its own entrance. Rooms range from $1,050 to $1295 a month plus shared utilities and monthly maid cleaning. $1295 room is available now, $1050 room available mid July and $1100 room available mid August. All rooms fully furnished down to the sheets and towels and coat hangers, plus Roku TVs in every room. Elegantly furnished common areas and fully equipped kitchen, sunny front porch, free washer/dryer, powerful internet. The house is less than a mile from the Georgia Ave metro on Green/Yellow line, 1 block to express and local busses. Easy street parking. Walk to Safeway, CVS, Yes! organic market, and fun Petworth eateries on Georgia Ave, Upsher St, 14th St and Kennedy St. Previous housemates and myself wanted to maintain the home as a quiet refuge after a busy workday, so please follow house rules such no overnight guests, limit day guests to weekends, no parties/drugs/smoking.
