Where Uptown makes a splash with its hip restaurants, cool hangouts, trendy boutiques, and walkability and Highland Park exudes wealth and quiet sophistication, there's a Dallas neighborhood that strikes the perfect balance between the two: Oak Lawn. This fun-loving neighborhood is best known for its events, in particular its annual Halloween party and its Pride Parade. Cedar Springs Road is lined with shops, restaurants, and nightclubs and the beautiful Turtle Creek provides a tree-filled path for walking and jogging.
You'll find a wide variety of housing in Oak Lawn, from high-rise apartments and condos to luxury townhomes and charming duplexes -- some in renovated historic mansions. And while Oak Lawn is separated from Uptown by Turtle Creek, many Oak Lawn residents still claim parts of Uptown as their own.

Property Ratings at 4123 Cedar Springs
I recently moved into this apartment complex and I couldn’t be happier with my experience so far. From the very beginning, the leasing team was professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. They answered all my questions promptly and made the application process smooth and stress-free. On move-in day, everything was ready as promised. The apartment was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. I appreciated the small touches, like a welcome packet and clear move-in instructions. The community is quiet, safe, and beautifully landscaped, with plenty of amenities to enjoy. Maintenance requests are handled quickly, and everyone I’ve encountered—from office staff to neighbors—has been welcoming and courteous. I truly feel at home here and would highly recommend this complex to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed place to live.

Safe. Nice staff. Great communication. Kind. Considerate. Clean. Well managed. Like the neighborhood. Dog friendly. Needs elevators fixed. Clean hallways daily,

It's great to hear how impressed you've been with our lovely community and wonderful team! We're so appreciative you've taken the time to rate your experience and compliment our exceptional service, as well as how pet-friendly we are. Our team would be more than happy to provide insight on any pending maintenance needed regarding our elevators, and we ask that you please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions whatsoever. Have a nice day!
The best apartment I’ve seen. I recommend anyone to be one of their residents. I can confidently say it’s one of the best places I’ve ever called home. The property is beautifully maintained, with clean common areas, well-kept landscaping, and a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere.
Disappointed that the building is called “luxury living” and we are charged for amenities when one elevator has been broken for a year, the other two for 5 months, the pool and jacuzzi are out of order for a few months now, and the building is left accessible to the public because none of the doors or security gate in the parking garage function properly. This is not luxury living. Looking down at a green pool everyday is not luxury. The smelly hallways and rodents are not luxury. We’ve heard that a “new company” is coming for the elevators about three times now. How can you even show this property to anyone? Must be embarrassing to ask new residents to walk up 5 floors to view their apartment and then have to tell them they gonna have to carry their furniture up those stairs too. Please just fix it all with real updates.
Terrible management, the hot tub has been broken for about a year, the pool is green and they need to hire professionals instead of letting maintenance just continue to fill the pool with tap water and then throw in shock to try and kill the algae. The elevators have been broken for 6 months, and they spend money on new a new video door access system, but yet the doors don't even lock so maybe fix that first to actually make the access system necessary. Biggest mistake I made was believing that management was starting to take care of issues when really since earlier this year things have only gotten worse.
It’s been okay been here for 3years been alot of issues but i guess they are trying to better it! So you can say that’s a start l! Still need improving
Despite small improvements to the building and it's amenities, the building is still not very secure. One pedestrian gate doesn't have a latch (and thus is always open) and the door to the building on the other side of the fenced in area doesn't always close after being opened. Interior doors from the garage to the building also don't close dependably, allowing more public access to the inside of the building. Elevators are out of service for months at a time. A weekly security walk around the building to check all the doors and entrances and a little bit of maintenance could solve most of the problems with the building, but the property management company doesn't seem to be interested in issues unless people are actively complaining.
The staff is great. Unfortunately the complex is under new ownership again, which means all elevators, Jacuzzi entrance gates are not working. The staff again is great and gone out of their way to help my husband and I. I understand these things are all out there control. Hopefully the owners will make this place like it was when is was This place used to be called Ilume and make them luxury apartments again.
The location of the apartments is great if you are wanting the closest to Oak Lawn strip. They take a bit of time fixing important things like elevators. Things like that need to be fixed within a day or so. That is a huge inconvenience for a building that is 5 stories high. The staff is nice. The hallways used to be cleaned every week or so. They don't clean as often anymore. So the hallways are kinda gross sometimes. They also made a bunch of rules about the swimming pool area? About people being there and how many and what they are doing. They are good about responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
My experience has been pretty good here. I feel that the staff are trying their best with working through the problems of the building and fixing things will take some time. They have been communicating on the status of things around the building. I do wish the elevators would be back up and running. But overall it’s quiet and convenient.
There have been improvements. I still find the property not well kept. There are numerous doors that do not work, and never lock. The elevators are all currently not operating. Homeless individuals sleep in the stairwells or, do drugs in the stairwells. There are constant break-ins in the parking garage because the gate that separates the residential part to the main area never closes. And my unit my bathroom sink faucet is no longer has any cold water than my Sink disposal is completely rusted and smells horrible. There’s a leak under my kitchen sink. My windows and sliding glass door leak cold or hot air all year round. The gym facility has a lot of room for improvement because they’re missing all kinds of weights, specifically 20 pound Dumbbells and 50 pound dumbbells. The amount of mold that is in the gym, you can see it everywhere. The televisions don’t work in the gym you can’t control them. Some of the ceiling fans are on super high fast speed, and can’t go low.
Best location on the street and the staff is very nice. Well maintained parking garage, will always tow. Very easy to pay rent on the app and payments go thru instantly
This will be my 4th lease renewal this time around and so far things have gone pretty well. Management is doing their best to fix and repair the mess created by the previous owner.
I love my unit and the staff. I just wish the building could be more secure and there were more strict rules for pet owners who don't pick up behind their pets
The place is still poorly maintained and secured. The guest entrance no longer locks itself because the magnet to keep it closed has been torn from its original location. One pedestrian gate doesn't have a latch so there might as well not be a fence around the back. The door handle of the door by the package locker has been rickity for ages. Location is great but there are other cheaper places nearby that are nicer and newer construction.
Overall the building is nice and I have no problems with my unit itself, but the community is not very well maintained. I worry about security at times, as many of the gates and doors are left unlocked or broken.
A very quiet property. The administration service is very friendly. Especially Mauricio's work. For me it has been a nice experience with only 5 months of living here on the property.
Management is terrible, trash is always piled up by the garbage chutes and dumpsters, the hot tub is leaking and they fill it up with a hose every day, roaches all over the halls, just to name a few things.
Office staffs are very helpful. They always ready to help. Clean interiors. Peaceful environment. No safety concerns. I love the pool side area and gym facility.
t’s been questionable not good homeless people sleeping in hallways…. This needs to get taken care of or people start to break there lease . It’s very unsafe
The staff at 4123 are great!!! They have gone above and beyond to help my husband and I. My husband has health issues and has not been able to work. Going from 2 incomes to one has been difficult. 4123 staff gone out of their way to help accommodate us during this difficult times we’re going through. There are some repairs needed here and hopefully the owner will come through. Thank you staff of 4123. Thanks 4123
My apartment tour was great but the living conditions around the complex are sketchy. A few outside gates don’t lock, there’s human pee in the stairwells and the property halls are in poor condition and look outdated. The parking garage is also constantly littered with trash. This building has really lost its luster.
Great place great location great management they’re always available to answer all questions and if something Needed to be fixed Same day or within 24 hours keep up with the great job guys I’ll give it 10 from 10.
The building doesn't seem to take care of general maintenance on an regular schedule. The pedestrian entrance on knight street rarely ever works, even if you know the combination. To door the building after that gate only closes half the time, leaving the building unsecured. The pedestrian gate on Douglas avenue doesn't even have a latch, so anyone can open the gate. One of the doors form the garage to the building on the second floor don't close completely, so there is no security there. There are always lights out in the hallways. It's like the staff doesn't do a weekly or regular check of the security of their building. There is always a way to get inside without any resident's help or permission. But the staff is generally friendly and the hallways mostly clean.
All the staff is very friendly. I love the neighborhood with so many great restaurants within walking distance. I look forward to living here.
Excellent interiors, decent community spaces, maintenance is a slow to get things done - but they get it done. Staff is generally responsive.
The management staff is personable and friendly. They will work with you to the extent that you work with them. The only con I feel worth bringing up isn’t even the staffs fault. It appears as though the larger corporation is neglecting to fund the complex or provide administrative assistance. I’ve noticed a severe drop in the quality of maintenance around the property and they are short staffed which causes issues.
Sad part to me is that this complex has potential but several upgrades need to be made and communication with the office needs to improve. It’s just been so many issues
So far the the staff has been great, I love my unit, and I can not hear anyone around me. The only complaint I would have is that the hallway could be a little more fresher (especially on the weekend)
Management here is great. I know things take time and money, but I wish things like the jacuzzi, clean hallways and gym equipment could be repaired and working.

I love residing at 4123 Cedar Springs and I am delighted to share my positive experience. During my time here, I have witnessed the dedicated efforts of the Foresight staff at 4123 Cedar Springs in enhancing the property. Their hard work has truly made a remarkable difference.
The last year and a half have been challenging to say the least. I will say that slowly the management have made some progress at least on the big issues, like homeless, no elevators working, gates and security. That has greatly improved after months. The problem really now is just the cleanliness of the complex. The stairwells still smell of dog urine , the hallways need to be cleaned and likely paint and new floors would help greatly. Then just repairs to damage walls, doors etc….. it does seem like they are trying but the process is just taking so long. Hopefully they’ll continue to try to upgrade the property. Until then I can only give it 3 stars.
This are slowly progressing. I just think the complex needs a huge upgrade. The trash needs to be updated. The office staff has got a lot better but communication can sometimes still lack
Multiple cars were broken into because management did not fix the garage gates for multiple months. The management is getting better from where it was a year ago but still a long way to go
Excellent community and value! Centrally located on Cedar Springs. Great pool and staff! Mauricio and Mr. Banks are so easy to work with and professional.
Love the space. Centrally located in the gayborhood and right across the street from Kroger and connected to a lot of solid restaurants. Covered parking garages are a game changer in the summer and when the weather is bad.
Lived here for 3 years! Loved it! Definitely love the convenience of having a Kroger across the street and my bank next door. This new property management has done an amazing job!
I have lived here for two years. The new management is trying hard to get things back on track! The new events are fun and different every couple of weeks. They do a great job of connecting with the residents.
Apartment is in the perfect area....Near the bars, and places to eat. The elevators have mood swings but you get use to it. I love the view in my place.
I love living here Very excellent property and staff Love how the staff is really connected to the property and interact with us as much as they can
I love love living here at 4123 cedar springs. The management is very nice and they communicate very well. I love the building and the atmosphere of this residence. Im in love with our nice gym and all the accommodations. As well as the events that the apartments throw for us as residents. I will continue to renew my lease here at 4123 Cedar Springs.
I’m so happy I chose this place. Unit was clean, spacious enough for a man and his dog. Unit is on the back so not as noisy as the front which faces Cedar Springs Rd. Love being so close to Kroger and all the other restaurants and shopping, plus the bars a block away.
It would be nice to have an updated gym, the property needs to become way more clean, need more/better parking options for visitors. Would be nice to be able to utilize the hot tub and grills that work properly.
Excellent staff, centrally located near retail, grocery, library and entertainment within walking distance. I feel very safe here & call it home.
Love it here ! So close to everything and for a great price too. I don’t plan on moving elsewhere anytime soon. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone moving to the city
Staff is friendly, but maintenance is slow, amenities are constantly out of order, and cleanliness could be better. Good location though, wish they'd take better care of everything else.
Love it here! I really enjoy the way the complex is taken care of and I love the location I’m currently at. Super clean and excited for pool season
On my move in date when I walked in my new apartment it was a mess. It was obviously never cleaned after the previous tenant moved out. I had to put my moving date off till the next day. I will say when confronted the property manager did do his best to accommodate and compensate me for my inconvenience
I like the location a lot and how it's central in the gayborhood. Love the walkability of the area. Only issue is that the elevators occasionally don't work which be very inconvenient. Especially if you need the loading dock to move in or if you're disabled.
