It also has a ceiling fan, as does the living room and the bay windowed master bedroom. Outside of the tiled kitchen-bath area, the floors are original wood. The foyer outside the kitchen has a granite bar, and the living room an original stained glass window. There are 3 closets totaling 12 ft in width, all with hanger bars and storage above. In addition there is bike or stroller storage available in the secured ground level basement. The building is equipped with a phone app based intercom, so you can buzz in deliveries from wherever you are. Amazon has it's own 'Key' system to buzz in their deliveries, so we can keep porch piracy of your packages to a minimum. The location is convenient to NYC buses on Palisade Ave, is a 15 minute walk to the 2nd St. Light Rail stop, and is a 23 minute walk or 6 minute bike ride to the Journal Sq. PATH station, according to Maps. There is a supermarket 3 blocks away, the bustling shopping district on Central Ave. is nearby, and the reservoir and park at Pershing Field is a 5 minute walk away. There is a shared no-payment laundry in the building basement. Sorry, there is no on-site parking, street parking only. The apartment has steam heat & hot water provided at a $60/month surcharge. Laundry is surcharged as well at $40/month. These are not negotiable. We do this so pricing comparisons to apartments with tenant paid heat and laundromat service are fair and accurate. Tenant pays for electricity, cooking gas and internet, the unit is wired for both Verizon FIOS and Xfinity cable broadband. As this property is managed by the local owner, there are NO FEES.
