This is a sunlit, airy, cozy upper unit in an owner-occupied, well-maintained duplex near the bluffs on St. Paul's historic West Side. Trash and water are included in the base rent; separate utilities (Heat, hot water, electricity, and internet) are shared; average utility cost for this unit is $200, which is in addition to the base rent. The apartment has a 1-year-old renovated kitchen (new cabinets, all new appliances, including an induction range, microwave, fridge, and combo washer/dryer). There is a pass-through interior kitchen window, with a breakfast bar, to the living room, which has windows on 3 sides: east, west, and north. There are hardwood floors (birch) in bedroom, hall, and kitchen, and an oak floor in the living room. Owner will provide a large rug for the living room floor. The bath has a deep, classic clawfoot soaking tub, with a curtained enclosure for both a handheld and a stand-up shower. South-facing skylights in the bedroom provide ample light; there is also a west-facing bedroom window (screened by evergreens that provide privacy) and a large, well-lit closet. A parking pad at the rear of the house is available at $25 per month. There is a large garden on the double lot, and solar panels on the south-facing roof. Cats (up to 2) are welcome; for indoor/outdoor cats, a kitty ladder can be installed, by the owner, from the porch roof to the ground, with access from the 2nd floor bedroom window. Cat rent is $25/month. Applications are handled via Tenant Check MN, which does a general background check (rental history, credit check, and criminal record check).
