Located in the South Ward section of Newark, New Jersey, the neighborhood of Weequahic houses a small suburban residential area along with several parks, medical centers, and a number of commercial businesses. On the eastern border of the town stands Weequahic Park, a beautiful natural reserve that remains the centerpiece of the neighborhood and one of Newark's largest parks. Sucks

Pros: Cheap rent, large living room, nice size rooms, 3 apartments per floor. Cons: Nobody has respect for their neighbors. New trash appears in the outside areas all the time. The garbage area is disgusting there's always rats. On the 3rd floor there is a hole in the ceiling of the hallway and it's been raining and the floor just gets wet. I feel like there's nobody to report to about this. The flooring in my apartment is awful. It starts off okay but after awhile you get so frustrated with the lack of maintenance. There's a huge centipede and roach problem in some areas so make sure you have an exterminator. Also as a young woman be careful if you walk to the corner store there's always a bunch of men out there ready to harass you when you just want to mind your business.
