Closets are empty and the space is truly yours during your stay! Each of the 3 bedrooms are furnished and decorated tastefully with high quality linens and mattresses. The Master bedroom features a king sized bed and en suite bathroom with a large soaking tub, separate vanities, and a glass enclosed shower. The other two bedrooms (one queen, two twins) are just down the hall and share a large bathroom with dual sinks. Separating the rooms is a closet containing a pair of full-sized, front loading laundry machines. The main level boasts a glamorous, spacious, and fully equipped kitchen. From the kitchen you look into a large TV room with comfortable and classic furnishings, as well as a gas fireplace. The dining room table can accommodate up to 8 people and is easily viewed from the kitchen through a large opening in the shared wall. Adjacent to the dining room is another TV room with a deep-seated chaise sofa. The basement can serve two purposes - sleeping and/or exercising. The room was designed to be used as a gym, and still can be if you so choose! However there's also a Full Sized sleeper sofa, a Queen sized air mattress (available upon request) and full bathroom, so it's also a quiet (and cool) place to spend the night. The air mattress is very comfortable. Perhaps one of the most frequented spaces in the spring and summer is the rooftop deck, which is protected from the afternoon sun to keep it the perfect temperature for lounging, socializing, or grilling on clear DC evenings. Parking is ample and free on the street, not to mention safe. No car? No problem! There's a large bus station about a quarter mile down the street that will bring you straight into the city or the nearest metro station (Pentagon City). The village of Shirlington itself is home to several great neighborhood restaurants, lots of outdoor dining, and tree lined streets. There's a park for children just across the street, and entrance to one of the largest area bike trails is no more than 500 feet from the door. As such, there's a Capital Bikeshare location which will allow you to explore the city by bike if you so choose.
