We have managed the property for 6 years and tenants have reported car break-ins on the street. While there have been no attempted break-ins into the home (it is fully gated), other crimes that we know of include: • 5 years ago: Drunk driver smashed into the iron fence that surrounds the property. • 2 years ago: Break-in to the garage resulted in stolen tools. Locks and motion lights have since been upgraded. • 1.5 and 3 years ago: Random, non-targeted incidents (twice) where multiple homes on West St were hit (no people were injured, luckily) by shots fired from a vehicle driving on West St., both times 1-2 bullets entered this building. • 8 months ago: iphone snatched while contractor was standing on the corner and looking down at his phone while on the sidewalk. SUPER centrally located -- in West Oakland at the corner of Brockhurst and West Streets, between 31st and 33rd. Easily bike/scoot/walk to BART, Temescal/Piedmont/Nobe/Uptown/Downtown which have so many great places and things going on (yes, even in Covid times) including shops/bars/restaurants/cafes/exercise venues and yes, even a wine shop and indy retail too.
