Double French doors separate the front and middle rooms; a very large kitchen faces the newly renovated back garden (East). The kitchen includes a stainless steel oven, range hood, large dishwasher (!), and plenty of cabinet storage. The bathroom has a shower (no tub) and a warm water bidet. The apartment has charming period touches throughout, including moldings and a tin ceiling. You’re welcome to share our newly updated backyard garden. Other perks include a shared washer and dryer (once you have it, you’ll never go back!). The neighborhood is low key; we’re friends with our neighbors and would like to keep it that way. The apartment is across the street from a large hardware store, if that’s your thing. Other neighborhood favorites: Happy Cork (wine shop) Sonora (Mexican food) Greedi Kitchen (vegan food) All Night Skate (new bar) Love Nelly (bakery and empanadas) The Daily Press (cafe) walking west toward Stuyvesant Heights for more restaurant options or east toward Highland Park and the Ridgewood Reservoir for nature Artist studios not far at 1660 East NY Avenue, or walk to Bushwick. Easy parking on our block. Heat and water are included. You pay for rent, gas, and metered electricity. We can share access to our wifi (router is in our unit; you are also welcome to install your own wifi if you prefer). Transportation: C Train: Ralph Avenue (.2 miles), Rockaway Avenue (.3 miles); A Train: Utica Avenue (.68 miles); J Train: Chauncey Street (.53 miles), Halsey Street (.61 miles), L Train: Broadway Junction (.75 miles). We are artists, college professors, and creative community organizers. We live upstairs—good vibes only. We take Black Lives Matter seriously, and we are LGBTQ+ friendly. Access note: The front entry is wheelchair accessible, but a 6” step is required to access the backyard. Sorry, but no cats or dogs. Please respond by telling us a little about yourself.
