About This Property
The Space Two rooms available in a three bedroom house in the heart of Historic Anacostia. This two-story, town house has original hardwood floors, a shared bathroom with sky light, a back yard and small deck on the first floor. The unit does come with a washer/dryer, and tenants have access to two storage closets on the upper floor. There is ample street parking (will require a DC Zone 8 parking pass) and the property also has a dedicated parking space out back. Internet is included in the cost of rent; all other utilities (electricity, water, and gas) are shared. There is one resident currently in the bedroom located in the basement. Bedroom 1 - Primary bedroom stretches the length of the front of the house with plenty of space for a queen or king bed and desk. Also includes a large closet. - Can be rented unfurnished or come furnished with a new queen mattress and bed for an additional $150 - $1,000 per month Bedroom 2: - This bedroom can accommodate a full bed. You also have access to a bonus room that can be used as a study, hobby space, or additional storage/walk in closet. - Can be rented unfurnished or with a new full-sized mattress - $1,000 per month NOTE: The living and kitchen areas are furnished, but these photos are from the staging so the furniture is now different. Happy to provide a video tour or provide new pictures upon request! The current resident has a room in the basement with her own bathroom and separate exit. She's in her early 30s and works in the non-profit world administering U.S. government exchange programs. She enjoys walking and roller skating on the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, checking out new restaurants around DC, and walking her boyfriend's German Shorthaired Pointer, Scotch. The Location: You'll be located on a quiet street near the heart of Historic Anacostia, close to Anacostia Park, 295, I-695, Capitol Hill, and right across the river from Navy Yard. Just a five-minute walk from downtown Anacostia and spots like Open Crumb, Busboys & Poets, and Turning Natural Juice Bar, this spot has an 76 Walk Score and is also within walking distance (10 minutes) of the Green Line at the nearby Anacostia Metro Station and several bus stops. A couple of neighborhood markets are within walking distance, plus Safeway, Lidl, Harris Teeter, and Trader Joe's are only a short drive from home. The house is a convenient commute to Capitol Hill (8 minutes), Downtown DC (14 minutes), Coast Guard HQ (7 minutes), Suitland Federal Center (12 minutes), JBAB (11 minutes), the Pentagon (11 minutes), Old Town Alexandria (18 minutes).
