In many ways, Arlington’s Clarendon/Courthouse neighborhood leads a double life. On the one hand, the mix of upscale single-family homes and swanky apartments combined with the super-convenient access to Washington (just a mile away and served by multiple Metro stops) make this an ideal location for DC-area commuters seeking a more suburban home environment. The abundance of parks and playgrounds reflects the family-friendly nature of the community, and the local public schools are among the best in the region. Parts of the neighborhood also contain several corporate high-rises, giving many folks the option of walking to work.
However, Clarendon/Courthouse also has a lively, fun side. The neighborhood is generally known as the nightlife capital of Arlington – the robust bar and club scene along Clarendon Avenue attracts partiers from across the DC area on weekends.

Had a great time living here! Great location, close to both Courthouse and Rosslyn metro stations. Apartment is quiet and front desk is helpful. Maintenance is quick as well. Only downside was gym could be updated.

The staff are quite friendly and accommodating! The building is cleaned frequently and the amenities well maintained. The cleaning staff are also incredibly sweet and thorough. It is a bit pricey but the building is largely worth the cost.

So Far, I like living here. Close to Georgetown and DCA (8-10 minutes). A lot to explore. Lots of loving pets (dogs) here. I enjoy being greeted by the front desk people whenever I go down or get back in from work.

I moved in this past January from another building in Arlington. I have been very happy with this building! It has the amenities I need, great location (walkable to metro and other shops), and feel like I never can hear my neighbors. I would highly recommend this building to a friend.

So far it’s been pretty great. I had some issues on move in day because the front desk gave the loading dock to someone else even tho I had it reserved. They tried to accommodate us both but I still ended up having to pay my movers more because they went over time.

So far, so good! I've only been a resident for a week but I've found the staff and fellow residents friendly and helpful. I noted a few minor issues with the apartment when I moved in and maintenance arrived within the day when I submitted a repair request on the online portal. None of the issues were urgent, but someone read and responded to the submission right away.

Management here is inept verging on indifferent. Their communication with the community could not be any worse. Their maintenance, construction projects and fire alarm testing is always communicated at the last-minute or not at all. They seem to think their residents should spend all their time working around the property manager's schedule. Add in constant plane noise, constantly missing concierges and only two elevators for a large building, and you get an ugly recipe. I look forward to moving out and working with a better manager at one of the hundreds of new units being built within a 5-minute walk of 19Nineteen.

I’ve been really impressed with the 1919 complex. The lobby is always clean and the 24/7 front desk staff always put a smile on my face with their kindness! The amenities are also always clean. The staff is also very communicative of any updates or renovations that will be occurring in advance. Lastly, the units themselves are updated and spacious. The location is perfect as well with lots of areas to walk my dog, restaurants, etc.

I toured this property twice and fell in love with it. From the overall feel to the unit space to the professionalism of the staff, particularly the manager, Brandon, this place was amazing. It was clean, sharp, modern, and quiet - I loved the community feel and pricing. Unfortunately due to an injury we had to move closer to work, so although I applied to live here I sadly had to cancel my application. Hopefully in the future!
If you're looking for a new building, walking distance from metro... this is it. 3 blocks from courthouse, this building has a ton of features. Very pet friendly, and features a state of the art gym and workout room!
This building is nothing more than a shiny object. Underneath the fancy lobby and modern art in the hallways is a completely inept staff that cares little about people breaking into the courtyards, the police having come to the building multiple times (regardless of it having been open for only a few months), hallways that have the noise proofing of tissue paper and the never-ending construction and repairs needing to be made to a building that was opened far too early. Be prepared for outrageous rent that you won't be able to pay on time anyway because they still have not settled on a procedure to submit electronic payments. This is Arlington. You can find something more ready for prime time for far less hassle and wasted money.
