Living in Portland, ME is like living with hipsters that can't decide whether its skinny jeans and beanie or flannel and beard. My apartment is an escape from that dredged hustle and bustle of "vacation land". Walking in gives you the sense you are home, ready for the nostalgic cup tea and always exciting episode of North Woods Law. The carpeted living room and study are the perfect places to sit and enjoy the company of tootles, the resident mixed breed cat. The kitchen has a beautiful hardwood that seems to contrast with the lighter colored egg shell wall and pine cabinets. The early sun creeps slowly in giving a morning dream haze feeling of warmth, making for the perfect cup of joe spot. Listening to buzz of the bees delightfully moving from flower to flower can make anyone staying in the guest bedroom never want to leave the room. The neighbor works away hard at his organic backyard garden blooming with color in the spring. Routinely every morning and night, smiling and singing with a few drops of sweat under his brow. The master bedroom is almost difficult to sleep in. Right out side of the window, nationally recognized and award winning, Holy Donuts, begins to bake at 2 A.M. causing uncontrollable hunger and dreams of the dark chocolate sea salt donuts. Its a kind apartment, it provides you with an amazing location across the street from the park, AA Seadogs baseball team and D League Red Claws. There isn't much you can't get to and your far enough away from the crowded streets of down town. This place is truly heaven and I want to continue it. It becomes hard on a right out of college beginning a new career place to live. My girlfriend and I make it work, that's all we need to do. Thanks for listening, Dustin Stanton
