Disappointing

As a current tenant (as of early this summer), I feel it is necessary to advise anyone interested in 1921 19th St. to stay far away. While the building has potential, the landlord and management opt to take shortcuts in construction and amenities that bring down the value and comfort levels significantly. Floors remain unfinished to this day in our apartment, and the AC never works. The landlord, Mark, takes days to answer messages and calls when we have issues, if he answers at all. Nothing is up-to-code, either, and it really does feel unsafe staying there (especially since “stop work” signs are now lining the entryway. Mark makes deals regarding rent and expectations and does not hold his end of the bargain, ever. While the location is convenient, it is really not worth the stress of dealing with this management and living in rat and cockroach-infested quarters with caked-on paint covering the walls. Stay away.
