Snug between Uptown and Lower Greenville, Knox/Henderson borrows a little from both -- the restaurant scene and walkability of Uptown with the live music and endless entertainment of Lower Greenville -- to deliver the perfect neighborhood. It's no wonder it's a Dallas favorite, from its restaurants like Café Madrid, Chelsea Corner, and the Porch to the Katy Trail, a 3.5-mile paved walking and bicycling path that runs through Dallas.
Knox/Henderson is located around the merging of Knox Street with Henderson Avenue along Highway 75. The heart of the neighborhood, Greenville Avenue, features funky sidewalk cafes and art galleries along brick-paved sidewalks. The abundance of bike racks and period lighting help solidify this area's cool factor. The residential side of Knox/Henderson offers a unique blend of charming bungalows, townhomes, and modern apartment buildings -- often side-by-side for a unique look with ample character.

Property Ratings at 1809 Bennett
If you like hearing everything your neighbor’s are doing and never having peace and quiet you’ll love this place! I’ve lived here for a little over 2 years and am only still here because I’m waiting for my boyfriend to get out of his lease. You can hear everything your neighbors do..,, and I mean everything. If you’re lucky enough to live in the apartment that I do now you’ll have a downstairs neighbor that plays music at all times of the day and it is LOUD. Like.., I can hear every lyric verbatim loud. I can also hear him when he’s on the phone and how he hocks up spit every morning. Yeah. It’s lovely. He’s also made very inappropriate comments- I changed jobs and he stopped me at the dog park once and ask me if I lost my job because he “noticed my schedule changed and didn’t hear me make my smoothie anymore”.... yeah. He’s also asked me if my boyfriend and I are still together because he hasn’t seen him in awhile... and told me that my friends had nice legs. When I filed a complaint about his music (because I didn’t want to talk to him) he waited for me to come home (he watches my car) and confronted me as I was going up the stairs and said he didn’t need the apartment complex thinking he made a lot of noise... which he does. I will say- the new management has great maintenance. I had to get my fridge replaced and the guy replaced the whole thing and even out my groceries back in it neatly.... which of course made my neighbor again wait for me to get home and confront me on the stairs about how he wanted me to know there was someone in my apartment.., since he looked out his window and disnt see my car.... I’ve never Told him what I drive. Overall, the location is good and price is good- but the thin walls are a MAJOR deal breaker.
DON’T live here!!! I have been here a year and a half and I can’t wait to move out! The pricing is great for this area but it’s not worth it! The “secure” gates are almost always broken, resulting in a few car break ins and homeless people wandering. At one point there were a couple homeless people using the hose within our “secure” gates to shower and there was also another man banging on windows and doors yelling nonsense at 1am, just a couple of examples of people getting into the gates. No one picks up after their dog so there is a strong dog poop odor and maintenance rarely refills the doggy bags in the dog park, trash cans are always over flowing, the pool isn’t maintained well and we’ve gone weeks with it looking like a swamp. Management takes ages to respond (if they even do) to anything, I put in a work order twice for my ice machine and it was never fixed. It also took them 3 weeks to come clean MOLD building up around my bathroom vents. I’ve also had several issues with leaks from the ceiling after heavy rains. Thin walls? Extremely thin.. I’m use to living in apartments with thin walls and normal apartment noise but you can hear what you’re neighbors are saying word for word. Save yourself the trouble and don’t live here!
