Koreatown is a vibrant LA neighborhood fille with hidden gems, bars, eateries, and a collision of cultures. As the name suggests, the atmosphere in Koreatown is heavily influenced by Korean culture. The neighborhood is a favorite destination among foodies city-wide for its endless selection of authentic Korean restaurants, but the community has a much more diverse character than that: the broad range of cultural influences is exemplified in landmarks like the synagogue and contemporary art gallery of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple, the Latin fusion cuisine of Roy Choi’s restaurants, and the popular German/Korean/Hawaiian tinged gastropub, Biergarten.
Although the area is a hot spot for LA residents’ day trips, Koreatown is known as one of the best places to live in LA. Most locals rent their homes and enjoy parks, coffee shops, and stores within walking distance of their apartments.

Property Ratings at 149 N Commonwealth Ave
Ive been living here for almost 3 years. Management and management company(RST & Associates) are a joke. you ask them to fix something they just patch it but they sure know how to raise the rent. there is no rent control here so they intimidate by raising the rent. both garage gates are broken some we always have random people coming in and out. onsite managers only work for 4 hours a day and are never home. you call the management company and they send you to voicemail. theres like 4 water leaks in the garage and if you get water damage good luck with getting them to pay for damages. elevator permit has been expired since 2016 were are 2018 FML. Management company took away the security code so our packages get stolen and kids have to wait outside the building till someone opens the door for them. the whole building is infested with roaches and bed bugs and they dont bother on fumigating. their way of cleaning is by painting on top of the dirt. think twice before renting here.
This place his horrible. They keep jacking up rent and fixing less. Anytime maintence is needed or there is no running water, the landlords are no where to be found . Regulations and rules are made on the spot and out of sheer spark. They will use the money jacked up from rent to paint the inside of the building but never fix leaks, broken and hazardous equipment . No need to speak of stolen equipment or cars being broken into. They have cameras around every corner but for some reason never on when someone steals anything. Do yourself a favor and don't come here. A lot of long time residents are trying to move from this dump.
This place has slowly but surely become a dump. Live-in management is awful. I have been waiting for them to fumigate for a few months and so has my neighbor. They use the gel! It take a few minutes! I have been asking them to fix my sink since I moved in a few years back. The finished was cracked since day 1. She comes up with rediculous reasons for anything and EVERYTHING! When we try to speak to her husband which is the one doing the handywork, he directs us to her. He says everything has to be brought to her. When asked to speak to the owner she throws a fit and says that he has agreed that she has to handle everything here. There is a rent increase ever 6 months. From 3 percent to now a 7.2 percent increase. The "agreements" don't even make sense, they keep getting sloppier every single time. The owner doesn't even sign the papers. It just say OWNER on the paper left at our doorsteps. There is not a drop of hot water in the washers, which break down every month. The parking garage might as well be storage spaces for everyone, including the management. I've also notice they rent out a few parking spaces to people that don't live in the building! They pocket money and I highly doubt the owner knows about it! Which the whole rent increase paperwork seems a bit odd. We need this place to step it up. You demand more money for this place, make it worth the money you are asking for! With that said, management (Nilsa) should honestly be replaced! Don't care how many decades she's managed for. **Before you suggest us moving... that wouldn't change the problem here. We would be running from it. Things definitely need to change.
