Property Ratings at 1400 Wabash
Coming home to 1400 Wabash feels like entering a peaceful oasis on a vibrant South Loop corner, with stunning views and modern amenities for easeful living. Common areas are clean and well maintained. Very dog friendly! The incredible staff is kind, responsive, and helpful:)
The building’s interior was not done well. The apartment windows, finishes, doors, appliances like the dryer especially are not quality, cheap, poorly installed and already showing signs of wear and tear. The layout of my apartment doesn’t optimize the space as my bathroom is much larger than needed yet the shower is small and so it the bedroom. The floor plan doesn’t allow for furniture setup outside of what’s shown in the floor plans. I have bugs in my apartment and the windows are drafty. I truly dislike it here.
1400 Wabash is a great place to live and raise your family.
Nice location, good management staff, apartments have the ideal size! Wish closets were a little bigger, but nothing that stopped me from moving to this place. And I’m very grateful that I decided to stay!
I've been a resident of 1400 Wabash for about 3 weeks now and I must say that the all staff from maintenance, leasing to concierge have been extremely helpful and welcoming to me and my pup! I am new to city living (recently moving from the burbs) and the community has really made my transition very smooth. And the amenities are really nice! My favorite amenity would be the stunning rooftop terrace and resident lounge which I've already been utilizing quite a bit. So far so good - I am absolutely loving the living here!
After almost living at 1400 Wabash for 8 months, I will say that if you like living with your neighbors, this is the place to be. You can hear every single conversation, baby cry, party, etc. through the vents and open windows. A lot of the times, your neighbors don't care how long they are being, and when you file a complaint, the leasing office doesn't care either. The front desk concierge is almost always nowhere to be found. It's either they aren't there, they're on their phone talking to someone, or they just seem annoyed and bothered when you ask them something. Parking is a hassle too if you need a car to get around. People who aren't authorized to park on the premises will either park right outside in the driveway blocking entrance/exit points or they someone get into the parking garage and parking in someone's assigned parking lot. The office always threatens to have their cars towed, but nothing ever actually happens. And if you want to get awaken in the middle of the night to stomping, tapping, or movement of furniture being dragged by your upstairs neighbor, this is always the place for you. People who reside here do not care about their next-door neighbors or upstairs and downstairs neighbors. Again, the leasing office will tell you one thing, but nothing will actually happen unless you move to a different complex. Or just don't move here. I will say on the plus side is having a convenient store and the red-line down the block, but it certainly does feel unsafe at all times of the day.
Doormen are always on their phones and let anyone in. Poor insulation of apartments so your heat bill will be high. Residents throw litter out the window and let their dogs poop in the building and don’t clean it up. The whole building smells like weed.
In general, my husband and I love it here. This is a beautiful conmunity and the team in general is pleasant and welcoming
Terrible management- they don’t answer the phone or emails. Leaking ceiling near elevator (this supposed to be new building) Doorman are never there They don’t allow Uber eats up to your apartment past 9pm (is this a dorm)?? This building the worst bug be begging people to give good reviews. They lock the trash chutes so then people just leave their trash in the halls They lose packages
1400 is a beautiful community. The property manager is awesome...the views are SPECTACULAR..thel ayout of the apartments were well thoughtout ....and Zack will make the leasing/ application process a breeze.
