Rideshare apps such as Uber and Lyft are also great options but expenses can quickly add up as Austin rideshare rates are on the higher end and can surge very high during busy times, such as 2AM on weekends and during large events such as SXSW, conferences, F1, etc. Downtown (6th Street) is 2 minutes away, Zilker Park (ACL) is 6 minutes away, The Domain is 14 minutes away and the airport is 16 minutes away. Smoking, parties, and excessive noise are not allowed, including on balconies and in shared spaces. Smoking violations are subject to a $1,000 fine, which includes the cost to clean, deodorize, and repair damages. Pets must be disclosed on the reservation guest count and approved in advance. The much-loved Clarksville neighborhood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is one of the oldest freedman’s towns in Texas, established by Charles Clark in 1871.
