About This Home

12 Month Lease, $1,850 deposit, Available Now

The well-maintained building was designed by the architect I.M. Pei - who designed the National Gallery of Art and the pyramid at the Louvre - and is on the Historic Register. The building features a concierge as well as evening & weekend security, a gym, community room, outdoor garden, and outdoor patio grills. The building does require a $250 move-in fee. And the community! You are located right at the Waterfront Metro station (green line), right next to a Safeway, Starbucks, car rental, several restaurants, and the well-known Arena Stage. AND you are 10 minute walk to the WHARF development - with 30+ restaurants from Rappahannock Oyster Bar and NaRa-Ya to Ilili and Whiskey Charlie, a gorgeous fire pier, open space, the Anthem and Pearl Street music venues, and boat and kayak rentals in the season on the Potomac Channel. AND you are also walking distance to Yards Park with its outdoor park, Nationals Stadium, multiple restaurants, Audi Field, and beautiful views of the Anacostia.

Best view in SW with a brand new kitchen! You'll feel on top of the world, coming home every day to this gorgeous light-filled studio! You will love the gorgeous West-facing windows filling up the apartment with sunlight every morning. Not to mention the incredible views at night - including of the Capitol, the House office buildings, and even the Nationals Stadium! I don't know of any more beautiful and spacious studio apartment around. The gorgeous kitchen is complete with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, range, and microwave, plenty of cabinetry, and built-in quartz dining/bar with pendant lighting! The hardwood floors throughout the unit were recently refinished. The large walk-in closet is a generous 5' by 8'. There is also a large hallway closet, to keep all your clutter out of the main rooms. The bathroom has an upgraded granite countertop vanity and extra storage. The building was designed by world-famous architect IM Pei, who designed the National Gallery of Art East Wing and the pyramid at the Louvre. With a beautiful lobby, concierge, bike room, community lounge, exterior lounge and picnic areas, a clean laundry and a gym, you will want for nothing in this community. The Waterfront community is very up and coming, with a Safeway, Starbucks, and Arena stage next door! That's not to mention dozens great restaurants, music venues such as the Anthem, myriad local shops, and kayak and SUP rental in the season at the adjacent WHARF! East Potomac Park and National Stadium and the Audi soccer field are walking distance. As are the buildings of Congress, the National Mall, and many museums and federal buildings. Transportation is easy with the SW Waterfront station a block away! Owner pays for water, trash, etc. Tenant only covers gas/electric (very low.) I would consider a cat. My last tenant loved this place so much she stayed for almost ten years and only had to move for work. Parking in a secure surface lot, or underground, and extra storage may be available for additional fees.

1101 3Rd St Sw is a condo located in District of Columbia County and the 20024 ZIP Code.

Neighborhood

Washington, DC's historic Waterfront neighborhood is both dynamic and diverse. Historic row houses sit in the shadow of mid-century government buildings, luxury condos, and high-rise office buildings. The largest houseboat community on the Eastern seaboard adds a touch of the quirky to this already unique area. Waterfront is off the typical tourist's path, providing a community feel not often found in the nation's capital.

Waterfront extends along the Anacostia River and dates back to the 1700s, when it was part of Piere L'Enfant's original city plans. Some of Waterfront's oldest buildings include Wheat Row, a series of row houses built around 1794. For fantastic views of the city, head to Hains Point, a peninsula located between the Washington Chanel and the Potomac River.
