As one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Los Angeles, South Park offers world-class entertainment, funky murals, fantastic shopping and dining, and unmatched culture. This is where you'll find some of LA's favorite destinations, including LA Live, a vast entertainment venue that includes the Grammy Museum and Microsoft Theater, as well as the Crypto.com Arena (home to the LA Lakers, Sparks, Clippers, and Kings) and the Los Angeles Convention Center. South Park also features the Orpheum Theater and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
If you want to live in South Park, this neighborhood begins along West 8th Street and extends to I-10. The Harbor Freeway is along the northern end, while South Main Street is along the southern end. South Park is adjacent to Downtown LA, with the Fashion District to the southeast. University Park, home to the University of Southern California, is on the south side, while the popular Pico-Union neighborhood is to the west.

Property Ratings at WREN
Seriously reconsider if you're considering living here 1- They have serious plumbing issues. I had to live without hot water for three days and they didn't even inform me about the issue until I asked 2- They charged me a move out fee of over $1200 for a non-existent crack in the microwave and the fridge. I had photo evidence but they're unwilling to adjust the fees. 3- The leasing office is here a joke. They lose lease agreements, don't respond to emails until things are made public. I had to follow up for 2 months to get my referral bonus and over 3 months to get ahold of someone for smoking issues.
DO NOT RENT HERE. I have never lived a more unsanitary situation, or dealt with more neglectful management. I have lived in Wren for 4 months and my laundry has been broken for the entirety of that time, so that I maintenance has to constantly visit my apartment with industrial vacuum cleaners and suck water out of the broken machines. They replace the old, broken machine with other old, broken machines that inevitably fail with the same issue, despite pleading with management to test the appliances prior to installation. In the last month, the water/plumbing has also repeated failed. The water in my apartment has either been shut off entirely, or running frigid cold without access to heat, or, in the case of this last week, the water running out of the faucet is completely black or dark grey. We could not shower, flush toilets, bath, or drink this water. Despite laundry and water being paramount concerns, 99% of my emails, phone calls, or voicemails to the management begging for a remedy go unanswered, with shocking excuses including "I don't check my work email." Despite having an exhaustive collection of well-documented witnesses and undeniably videos evidencing the black water and broken laundry, management's response has been to say that they don't think there is a problem because their own personal apartments are fine, which is as illogical as it sounds. While I do want to acknowledge that there are individual leasing and maintenance staff such as Letty and Helena who are very lovely people and very decent to work with, the property management is without a doubt the most shockingly unprofessional, neglectful, incompetent, and gaslighting management I have ever encountered. I cannot recommend against renting here strongly enough.
The walls are too thin, the noise comes through the wall / ceiling.
It feels quiet in the busy city community. Clean and cozy.
To potential renters be advised that the internet here is unreliable. There is no choice but to get AT&T. Most of my neighbors have complained about their internet cutting out or being extremely slow. One neighbor apparently didn’t get internet for weeks. The same goes for the common area WiFi. We are rarely able to connect to it. Any time these issues are brought up we get the run around from management.
