Property Ratings at Woodridge Manor
I’ve very disappointed living here. It’s true-parking is extremely limited, the apartments are noisy, and the rent increases every year with no noticeable improvements. The laundry rooms are outdated, dirty, and have only two coin-operated machines per building. Management doesn’t even follow their own snow removal policy. When I tried to have an unrelated issue addressed, the male manager, Dimitry, was very disrespectful~even to me,an older woman-and the way I was spoken to felt truly degrading. Based on my experience, the previous negative reviews are pretty accurate. I no longer feel comfortable here and will be leaving as soon as my lease is up.
Parking is limited to one assigned spot per unit, and visitor spots are often used by tenants with multiple cars or work vehicles, leading to frequent shortages. Cooling is a challenge, as only one bedroom has a built-in air conditioner, so a portable unit is required for cooling the second bedroom. Note: window units are not allowed. Most units have outdated appliances that won't be replaced unless they're broken. The bathrooms are small, lack windows and electrical outlets. Some of the units, even second floor units, have hard flooring, so that combined with thin walls means you'll hear every noise from your neighbors. You might end up with the unlucky experience I had, or you could have quiet neighbors-there's no way to know. Smoking policies are frequently ignored, both tobacco and the other kind. Landscaping is regularly maintained but focuses more on the shrubs and flowers around the office and areas visible from the road. This leaves other parts of the property looking plain and, in some cases, messy. Additionally, grills are not allowed on patios and must be kept locked on the communal grill pad behind the middle building, which can be inconvenient. Other concerns include snow removal, which is often delayed or nonexistent. Bring your shovel, because you'll likely have to clear your own spot after working all day. The dumpsters, particularly the most-used one is emptied frequently, but often overflow due to heavy usage. Its location detracts from the advertised view, and the broken stockade fence around it makes it even less appealing. The lobby/mailroom in one building is dingy and unkempt, with stained furniture and a generally poor appearance. The laundry room in this building is the worst of the three. Some apartment walls are cinderblock, which may not suit everyone's aesthetic preferences. Overall, there are several shortcomings that could be addressed to better match the rent cost and neighboring properties.
Constant safety issues. They have a pretty well laid out snow removal policy but only do about half of what it says. They are supposed to plow resident's spots but told one of my neighbors that it wasn't their job when he asked them to plow his spot. People have fallen and gotten hurt as a result of their negligence. You have to stay on top of Picerne to get maintenance done and it often takes days or weeks to have repairs completed. Picerne seems to have stopped picking up the stray garbage from around the complex and have often littered themselves. They are constantly leaving pallets, appliances and other garbage in the courtyard. They implemented a new balcony policy and claim on of the reasons is to keep the property looking nice when they are the problem. This has all been reported to the property manager and regional manager at corporate by multiple residents and they have done little to nothing about it.
Nice location. Apartments in good condition. Nice neighbors. Very satisfied, good price. On the downside.. the common area behind the building is not that nice/well-kept.
I loved what they had to offer but at the time I was looking there was no openings But they did send me to another one of there properties . which now my son is living in after returning from the marines . quite happy with them
